Madison Jordan - Valedictorian is the daughter of Norm and Tina Jordan. Madison plans on attending Lake Superior State University to major in Fisheries and Wildlife Management. Throughout high school, Madison participated in Tennis, National Honor Society, and Art Club. She has received Student of the Month and Top Honors every year. Madison was motivated to succeed because she wanted to be able to say that she kept a 4.0 all through high school. Olivia Keelean - Valedictorian is the daughter of Scott and Kristin Keelean. Olivia plans on attending Cornerstone University to play volleyball and major in Occupational Therapy. During high school, Olivia was involved in Volleyball, Club Volleyball at MVA, Tennis, FCA, National Honor Society, and Dual Enrollment. She has received multiple awards including Student of the Month and Athlete of the Month. She was awarded Team MVP, All-Conference, and All-State in both Tennis and Volleyball. Additionally, she received Dream
Team and All-Region in Volleyball. Olivia was motivated to succeed because her friends and family always pushed her to do her best. Cecilia Ovalle Martinez - Valedictorian is the daughter of Martin Ovalle and Maria del Rosario Martinez. Cecilia plans on attending Western Michigan University to major in Engineering Management Technology. Throughout high school, Cecilia participated in Tennis, Golf, National Honor Society, Student Council, College Ambassadors, Art Club, and Dual Enrollment. She has received Student of the Month, Top Honors, and Team MIP in Tennis. Cecilia was motivated to succeed in high school because she wanted to graduate knowing she worked hard for it. Kaitlyn Pascoe - Valedictorian is the daughter of Lyle and Sherry Pascoe. Kaitlyn plans on attending Michigan Technological University to major in Engineering. During high school, Kaitlyn was involved in Tennis, Powerlifting,
Ski Club, Student Council, National Honor Society, and Dual Enrollment. She has received Student of the Month and Top Honors every year. Kaitlyn was motivated to succeed in high school because of the encouragement and support from her parents and peers. She also tries to be the best at what she does. Nikki Tellkamp - Valedictorian is the daughter of Dan and Jackie Tellkamp. Nikki plans on attending Olivet Nazarene University to major in Elementary Education. Throughout high school, Nikki has participated in Ski Club, Soccer, Cross Country, National Honor Society, Indoor Soccer, Be Nice, AYSO, and Gymnastics. She has received Student of the Month four times, Athlete of the Month, and Honorable Mention for Soccer. Nikki was motivated to succeed because her family always encouraged her to do better, but what motivated her the most was her competitive spirit and the fact that she cried if she did not get an A.

Maggie Whitney - Valedictorian is the daughter of Steven and Darlene Whitney. Maggie plans on attending Xavier University to major in Nursing. During high school, Maggie was involved in Marching, Concert, and Honors Band, Student Council, National Honor Society, Volleyball, Track, Ski Club, Dual Enrollment, Be Nice, and Softball. Maggie has received Student of the Month, Athlete of the Month, Tiger Awards, Varsity Letters, Outstanding Attendance, and the NCRESA P.A.I.D Award. Maggie was motivated to succeed because of her eagerness to learn and her parents wanting her to reach her full potential. Lukas Wolff - Valedictorian is the son of Todd and Kris Wolff. Lukas plans on attending the University of Michigan to major in Engineering. Throughout high school, Lukas participated in Chess Club, Quiz Bowl, Sea Perch, FCA, Student Council, National Honor Society, College Ambassadors, Ski Club, Youth Group, Dual Enrollment, Be Nice, and Football. He has received Student of the Month, All-Conference in Chess and
Quiz Bowl, Academic Showcase, Outstanding Attendance, Top Honors, and Academic Excellence. Lukas was motivated to succeed in high school because of his competitive nature to be in Top Ten. Madelyn Harvey - Salutatorian is the daughter of Jeffrey and Karen Harvey. Madelyn is graduating with a GPA of 3.99. She plans on attending Central Michigan University to major in Predental. During high school, she was involved in Be Nice, Youth Advisory Committee, National Honor Society, Cross Country, Track and Field, and Youth Group. She has received Top Honors, College Readiness, MIP in Cross Country, and the Tiger Award in Track and Field. Madelyn was motivated to succeed because her parents were her biggest supporters throughout high school, and she was determined to make her parents proud. Dominick Brock is the son of Mark and Melissa Brock. Dominick is graduating with a GPA of 3.97. He plans on finishing the Early College Program
through Muskegon Community College and then transferring to a four-year university. In high school, he played Varsity Tennis for four years. He has received Top Honors, Student of the Month, and Athlete of the Month. In addition, he received Team MIP and the Tiger Award. Dominick was motivated to succeed in high school because his parents have always been involved in his school work and encouraged him to do his best. Brittney Roossinck is the daughter of Bernie and Becky Roossinck. Brittney is graduating with a GPA of 3.95. She plans on attending MCC for two years to major in Child Development, and then will transfer to a four-year university. Throughout high school, Brittney participated in Track and Field, Powerlifting, National Honor Society, Ski Club, and Youth Group. She has received Top Honors for four years, as well as, Student of the Month and a Varsity Letter for Track and Field. Brittney was motivated to succeed by the support from her family and friends. Most important, she gained strength through her faith in the Lord Jesus.

Cheyenne Thompson Daughter of Scott and Jennifer Thompson My plans for the coming fall include, but are not limited to the following: Attend Baker College of Cadillac enrolled as a full-time student. Transfer from the Wesco in White Cloud to either the Wesco in Lake City or Cadillac. At Baker I will earn my Bachelor’s in Accounting while living on campus in the dorms. After my first year I will apply to the position of resident assistant in hopes of gaining more knowledge as well as building relationships with others on campus.
Emily Sweet Daughter of Bobbie duChemin and Derick Sweet I plan on going to college to become an interior designer and traveling as much as I possibly can.

After college, I plan to run my own business and work from home. Once I graduate, I will take a position aboard the cargo ships and travel from country to country. In August I will be joining the Navy Reserves for 8 years. Connor Swinehart - Valedictorian Connor is the son of Joseph and Melissa Swinehart. He is actively involved at Newaygo High School and in the community. He was class president for 3 years and is currently a member of the National Honor Society. Throughout high school, Connor has participated in three sports: football, basketball and baseball. In his time away from the classroom or the court, he has helped out by volunteering for numerous youth camps, homeless shelters and community clean ups. In the fall, Connor will be attending the University of Michigan to study Biomedical Engineering.
Mara Johnson - Salutatorian Mara is the daughter of Mark and Nancy Johnson. She has been the president of both her high school’s chapter of the National Honor Society and student body, and is very involved in school events. During high school, she participated in Drama Club for several years and was on the varsity wrestling team. Mara volunteers on a weekly basis at the Newaygo County Animal Shelter in White Cloud and has volunteered at many events within the high school. In the fall, Mara will be attending Michigan State University for Political Science and Pre-Med, with the goal of joining the Peace Corps. Jordan Sanderson Jordan is the daughter of Angel Franks. She will tell you that since Career Week in elementary school, she has planned to be a dentist. Her mindset was to excel in her studies to make her dream happen. She has taken honors classes all four years in high school, maintaining straight A’s all four years. Jordan is currently working at a local dentist office in Newaygo where she was honored to help give free dental care for Veterans on Veterans Day. Jordan aspires to be a general dentist and will be attending the University of Michigan in the fall to pursue a Pre-Dental Degree

Daniella duChemin Daniella is the daughter of Duane and Sheri duChemin. Throughout high school, Daniella has been a three-sport athlete, participating in volleyball, basketball, and softball. She has been named team captain for each team she has been a part of. Daniella has also been a part of the PBIS Squad, a College Ambassador, a member of the National Honor Society, and Senior Class President for the Class of 2019. In her spare time, Daniella volunteers at her church, Special Olympics and Newaygo Youth Sports Camps. In the fall, Daniella plans to attend Central Michigan University to become a Physician Assistant. Ryan Brummel Ryan is the son of Bret and Allison Brummel. Throughout high school, Ryan has participated in 4 years of Cross Country, Track and Basketball. He held the position of Vice President in student council for three years and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has been very involved in school and the community, and in his spare time, he has enjoyed announcing youth football and officiating youth basketball. In the fall, Ryan plans to attend Grand Valley State University and pursue a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering. Rosa Burkholder Rosa is the youngest daughter of Tom and Sheri Burkholder. Throughout her high school career, Rosa has participated in the drama club and has been on the quiz bowl team. She has been a member of the PBIS Squad and the National Honor Society for the past two years, and volunteers for her church on the weekends. In the fall, Rosa will be attending Ferris State University to study Pre-Med, before applying for medical school. Gonzalo Alvarez-Ochoa Gonzalo is the son of Alberto and Irene Alvarez. He has been involved in Chess Club and Track. He has also been a member of
the National Honor Society and has been invited to the E.T.G. Honors Banquet every year of high school. Gonzalo has canvassed for candidates running for office, helped for Field Day and Special Olympics. In his spare time, he works at Biggby Coffee as a Shift Leader. Gonzalo plans to attend the University of Michigan in the fall to Major in Computer Science and Business. Gonzalo’s goal is to become the CEO of a tech company and open up a coffee shop. Sage Beerman Sage is the daughter of Sara Barton and Cory Gribowski. Throughout high school, she has participated in volleyball, basketball, softball and quiz bowl. Sage was a member of the College Ambassadors, National Honor Society and served as an FFA Chapter officer. Outside of school, Sage volunteers for the Special Olympics and Bellwether Harbor and is also a member of a group called Osteocholars. In the fall, Sage plans on attending Michigan State University as a Pre-Med student to eventually become a surgeon. Sarah Behnke Sarah is the daughter of David and Sharon Behnke. She is very involved in her community and at school. She has been a member of the National Honor Society, Student Council, and the PBIS Squad. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and pets. After high school, Sarah will be attending Muskegon Community College to study Pre-Med in hopes to become a Dermatologist. Jasper Sanderson Jasper is the son of Angel Franks. Throughout his high school career, he has been involved in soccer, basketball and track.
