In addition, I have worked at Ace Hardware of Bad Axe the last three years. Community activities: I am active in my church’s breakfast group and the Bad Axe Christian Youth Group. Through the Huron County Chapter of the Right To Life Organization, I attend youth rallies and memorial services and help with fundraising and informational literature. Through the Bad Axe Youth Group, I have gone on two week-long home repair mission trips, and I will going on a third this summer. Future plans: In the fall, I will be attending either Northern Michigan University or Grand Valley State University to study biology.

I was also a part of the Bad Axe Track team for a couple years of high school where I was one of the sprinters, shot-putters, and pole-vaulters. For the past six years I have worked at China King as a food prepper, takeout staff, cashier, table busser, dishwasher, and sometimes waiter with potential as a part-time cook as well.

Community activities: I was active in Tae Kwon Do for several years, earning the right to help newcomers out with the new skills such as kicks and punches. Future plans: In the fall, I will be attending either Michigan Technological University or University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, for computer science and engineering, with a possible minor in either mathematics, biology or business to complement my major.

I was a two-year member on a team for the Michigan Elite AAU Volleyball Academy and a one-year member on the Sports Solutions volleyball team. I have served in National Honor Society volunteering at school Red Cross blood drives, wrapping presents for underprivileged children, and C/AN Council fundraising. I was also a board member in Mayor’s Youth Council in which I helped with Nursing Home Craft Days and the pop can drives for hurricane reliefs. I have also been an active member and officer in FFA. I have been the reporter, sentinel and treasurer, and in my years of service, we have been able to put up a livestock barn, volunteer at the community garden, volunteer at project RED, informing younger students about the importance of agriculture, and traveling to numerous contests that will help me with leadership and college life skills. Community activities: I have volunteered at numerous concession stands that include: Bad Axe Little League Concession Stand, Bad Axe Schools Youth Football Concession Stand, and Bad Axe High School Basketball Concession Stand. Future plans: In the fall, I plan on attending Michigan State University or the University of Michigan to study pre-nursing then hopefully continue my education after to study nurse anesthetist.
