Minimalism is a hot new trend that I am dying to get on board with. Truly, I want everything was taken out of my house, and only a few things returned. Most notably, my DreamBox craft cabinet which has honestly transformed the way I craft. Which is why I wanted to create this follow up post to the Dreambox Review (you can watch the video here).
After years of reading the best-decluttering books, reading The LifeChanging Magic Of Tidying Up every time I needed to nd the motivation to declutter. It’s hard work and it’s even more dif cult when you factor in that I suffer from chronic illness and disabilities. That was until I took a Bootcamp to really kick my butt into gear, but more about that later.

Before I got my beautiful white DreamBox, I used the biggest white Ikea Expedit (now known as the Kallax). All the furniture in my craft room is white; unit, table, couch, etc. Whatever it takes to re ect light! I digress.
In that big Ikea unit, I had storage boxes that were organized once upon a time and used to store my favorite products but access quickly became an issue. It got to the stage where I wasn’t crafting because I couldn’t nd anything. I don’t know about you but crafting for me, is a form of self-care and when I don’t do it, I de nitely notice it.

Here I want to share all of the necessary information you need to know about the DreamBox, its table and the very best of its incredible accessories.
When it came to setting up the DreamBox, I knew I wanted to keep my supplies easily accessible. It’s all about the table height and access. Before the DreamBox arrived though, I had A LOT of decluttering to do.
Fast forward to organizing this nifty Craft storage cabinet with bifolding doors, I decided to make it very functional, but also very inspiring. Not only do I have all of my craft supplies within easy reach but I’m constantly inspired by the pastel rainbow dream. It is made from such sturdy stuff, it still looks brand new, despite the fact that I’ve glued myself to my table on more than one occasion.

I was able to get my DreamBox order process and in the time it took for the delivery to reach Ireland, my husband and I had taken the furniture out and I’d lled bags and bags with crafty items to donate. Figuring out a new organization system would make anyone anxious if their natural state is being surrounded by crafty tools!
However, the motivation was the fact that my big storage box for crafts would arrive in 7 days and it either stayed outside or came into an empty space.
Now I can store projects and all of my favourite branded products all within reach.

TABLE SPACE When you purchase a DreamBox there’s an option to purchase some side tables as an add on. Holy smokes they are the best. It adds so much room when you’re making a project. The reason this is my No.1 favourite aspect; when I was growing up I developed a habit of working on the oor, surrounded by books and projects.
My issue now is that I suffer from a rare genetic disorder with my joints (EDS , read more about me ), and if I do that, I can overstretch and even dislocate my hips easily. Leaning forward it all that it takes. So these side tables have actually saved me so much pain. I will forever be indebted to The Original Scrapbox company!
Did you know that it’s possible to open your DreamBox cabinet and add those side tables in 1:28?! That’s what it says in the video description. How cool is that?!
ADJUSTABLE SHELVING AND DRAWER POSITIONS

The shelving in the DreamBox is adjustable. If you are using the table, you can drop it to a sitting height or up to a standing height. All of the drawers can be put anywhere within the unit and everything still remains easy to access!
It’s genuinely one of my absolute favorite organizing products ever. In terms of customer satisfaction, living with the Dreambox for 4 months, I still give it 4.9 stars. Because I still use it, which is a shock to you and me both.

The only reason I dropped anything off the score was because of an adapter required for the light if you’re based in the UK. If I were in the US, it would have been 5 stars.

DISPLAY YOUR MACHINES Whether you use your Cricut machine, a sewing machine or both regularly, keep them out on display! It’s even possible to display your machines, still adjust the desk height and side tables without disturbing them. That’s such a positive aspect since I previously had to store my Cricut and sewing machine in cupboards and rarely used them. I love that they’re front and centre now and so easy to access and actually use.

I’m a rare case, where the Dreambox actually stopped me from dislocating my hips. For the regular Josephine, it basically is the best storage solution you didn’t know you needed. If you’ve ever wondered if it’s actually ever possible to organize your craft room in a way that is pretty AND practical.
Guess what? It totally is! Everything I need to grab is usually in a drawer right by my left elbow; it includes current projects and items I am using the most often. Finding somewhere to store my favorite products is no longer an issue, all I have to do is open those doors and there it is, everything in front of me.
All of my projects in progress and products in use are easy to access. I love to do a monthly check-in as my projects evolve, complete and move on. Ensuring that I’m being smart with where I store the products that I’m using and make sure it’s easy to add or remove anything quickly and easily.

SHADES AND COLOR OPTIONS: The Original Scrapbox company has a great online store that’s easy to navigate. All of the furniture comes in more colors than just white, you’ll be happy to hear. Despite the fact that I love white, and white helps to re ect light, I do appreciate that it doesn’t always go with peoples decor and not everyone lives in a country that’s grey 90% of the time.

You can buy shaker style, and in Farmhouse grey to match your decor. The wood is incredibly sturdy and is an impressive way to keep your of ce organized, it’s the perfect storage solution with everything easy to access. You will be one very happy customer!

I loved the service I received from The Original Scrapbox Company. Yes, I would highly recommend ANY of their products, not just because they saved me from dislocations. Simply because it’s SO easy to store my crap in a beautiful way yet it’s so practical. The large white unit is itself easy to store and move thanks to the wheels.
One thing I didn’t like about the Dreambox was the fact that as a UK customer, my needs for electricity were met with “well can’t they just buy an adapter?”. Well true, but that kind of sucked. As a customer it made me feel as if I wasn’t important enough for a dam adapter. Thankfully though, the rest of the service was impeccable.
