EDITORS' LETTER

How is fall already here!? We are sad to see summer go, but looking forward to the season of change and everything that comes with it. Cooler temps, yes please! Routines, yes please! Football and tailgating, yes please! When Jillian of A Memorable Event of Iowa showed us her colorful styled shoot, we were IN! She blended rustic and tropical seamlessly. We love color, and thers's so much, you can't help but smile. Each wedding pro added a special touch to this tropical farmhouse theme. Our first feature wedding in "It's My Big Day," is Emily + Roger. Have you heard of McDreamy? You'll understand once you read their love story. This wedding had a lastminute change that would freak most couples out, but luckily for Emily she had an all-star team that made it all come together, changes and all. In one week they flipped the wedding from a venue to the couple's backyard and we are stunned with the results. The second wedding is Mollie + Trevor's vows. This couple knows how to have fun and we couldn't get enough of the bride's outfit and hair changes! She gets an A+ in styling and her bridal dress tops our best dressed list. Besides the looks, their reception venue was a stunning backdrop to fit their vibe perfectly.

The unexpected combination embraces tropical and farmhouse elements to effortlessly blend the two worlds into one. We can’t get over the dreamy staycation vibes. We are officially obsessed with this dress. The collar! The sleeves! And most of all, the meaning! Mollie wore her grandmother’s dress for the ceremony as a way to celebrate her grandparents' 58-years of love.

Timeless. Unique. Memorable. All of these words could describe Mollie and Trevor’s spectacular wedding. The event made everyone smile for hours over the love and celebration of the happy couple. Mollie and Trevor met through mutual friends who matched on Tinder. While their friends weren’t a good match, it did mean Trevor and Mollie had a chance to meet. Ten days later, they started dating! When it was finally time for Trevor to propose, it was known as “Operation Sparkle,” to keep the surprise from Mollie. Trevor made sure family and friends were all in town when he popped the question on Mollie’s family porch swing. Once screaming "Yes!" and alerting the neighbors, all gathered at Mollie’s parents house for an engagement party complete with a mini wedding cake! With the goal of a classic and timeless wedding, Mollie took inspiration from her grandmother’s wedding dress. She decided to wear the dress for the ceremony as a way to include tradition and celebrate her grandparents' 58-years of love. Altered by Felicia Couture, the dress had small lace details along the sleeves and an incredible collar that tied the look together. One of Mollie’s most memorable moments was leaving the ceremony in her grandmother’s gown as everyone tossed flower petal confetti on the newlyweds.

With a great ring light around the camera, it was easy for guests to take bright, beautiful photos and they could share them straight to their phones. It was a fun way to capture the event and get instant pictures.
