24 CRUISES

Cruises Bowling Green Marshes

Exeter is a city on the water, and what better way to explore than taking a boat trip on the calm waters of the Exeter Ship Canal or River Exe. Services run from Exeter’s Quayside to the Double Locks and Turf pubs and from nearby Topsham to the Lock Keeper’s Cottage Cafe in summer. In winter, the Exe Estuary is an internationally important site for winter migrant birds. Seasonal bird watching cruises operate throughout the winter from heated vessels with expert commentary from leading ornithologists.
