Changes in Competitive Landscape The global impact of COVID-19 has drastically widened the gaps to access to health, especially for the under resourced and marginalized. Global supply chain disruptions will have a further negative ripple effect, including in healthcare. Building on

years of service!

• Humanitarian Aid

Visit us at hearttoheart.org • Laboratories

Since 1992 Heart to Heart International has distributed over $2.4 billion in humanitarian aid worldwide. We achieve this by connecting available aid to our network of more than 250 nonprofit partner organizations. HHI also works with local partners in disaster-affected areas to send medical and humanitarian aid to address any supply gaps and on-the-ground needs.

• Disaster Response

Quality health care depends on accurate and timely diagnoses, which often rely on results of clinical testing. HHI works with health clinics in under-resourced communities to provide testing capabilities that enable the clinics to run laboratory tests on site and provide accurate diagnoses and treatment during a single patient visit.

• Hygiene Kits

When disasters strike, HHI responds. We deploy experienced disaster response teams to provide immediate medical care and relief to serve the most remote and vulnerable populations. Our response efforts tie directly into supporting recovery efforts to increase community resilience.

Because good hygiene is the first line of defense against the spread of illness, hygiene kits can help prevent the spread of disease after disasters and crises. Additionally, hygiene kits draw recipients to other crucial resources like medical care, food and shelter. HHI distributes the hygiene kits throughout the world and offers a program that engages volunteers and participants in the kit assembly.

• Volunteer Engagement

• Fleet The multiple trucks, vans and medical units in HHI’s fleet of vehicles enable our disaster response teams to deliver medical services to communities in need throughout the continental U.S. To ensure the disaster teams are selfsufficient and don’t burden a resource-depleted community, the fleet vehicles carry their own supply of fuel and provide pharmacy, administrative and medical exam space.

Volunteers increase organizational capacity and directly impact HHI’s ability to improve healthcare access in the U.S. and around the world. Their support can be seen in every department, from administration to hygiene kits to disaster relief – and everything in between. HHI offers diverse volunteer opportunities, including skills-based placements, internships, corporate engagement options, and community events.
