Seven Hacks to Happiness


Express Gratitude! Anytime you are feeling rotten,down in the dumps or all around pissy get a pen and paper and write down three things you are grateful for in that moment!


Make time to PLAY Go to a Playground. Kick a ball, do a cartwheel or jump around. I dare you to be salty when you are doing summersaults


Elsa said it best: Let it GO Life doesn’t always happen the way we plan it, and that can stink. BUT, there is nothing you can do about it sometimes; so let it go. If something happens that is out of your control you are allowed to be mad- but holding on to that anger won’t help. Let that shit go.


Write it Down Journal. Put it all on paper. All the things from happy to sad, mad to glad. Write it out, get it out, and move on.


Nurture Connections! Who makes you smile?? Spend time with them! Call them, send them a text, or write them a letter! If someone makes you happy let them know! You will make their day brighter, and you will feel happier too. Win win.


MOVE Movement is medicine. Lift weights, dance, run, walk, and lift weights again… Exercise makes you happy- even when you don’t want to do it.


Eat some veggies Yup, veggies make you happy. Well, not really, but by default. If you eat a bunch of junk all the time you will feel like shit- and that is not fun. If you eat veggies, you will feel better. It is ok to eat some cake, but you also have to eat some greens.


Find something just for you Cultivate a habit that serves only one purpose= to bring you pleasure! Dance, sing, paint, draw, long walks, runs, something just for you! Treat yourself to enjoyment daily
