Millie Moore’s practice is based on her personal engagement with landscape. The work she produces recognises and conveys the essence of what she experiences in the natural world.
Finding a connection through their Scandinavian ancestry, this exhibition is an expression of joint emotions from a journey through memory, without the constraints of reality, as the past is revisited and the magic of ancestral life and tradition is recreated, providing a sense of place and belonging.
Thurs 1 Nov, 7.30 - 9pm Fri 2 - Sat 24 Nov 1&2
Walking is her starting point, recording the experience through words, photographs and collected items as she notices landmarks ancient and new, and the small changes in nature caused by the effect of man. Please see our Hand Made Paper workshop on page 18 which is run in conjunction with this exhibition.

Arts Grants & Awards
Last year, we funded an array of projects throughout the Council area such as local artist Sandra Robinson, who used her Individual Artist Grant to create her project Kungsleden Reflections, which was inspired by her trek to Sweden and the stunning surroundings. Sandra was then able to experiment with landscape painting and offer these skills to both schools and community groups in the local area.
