02 SUKOON MOSQUE In its most basic expression, this holy establishment seeks to reflect one of man kind’s most fulfilling states. “ ”; “Al’ Sukoon”; “Peace” inspired by the Arabic Alphabet Expression. This mosque was designed its form and state to bring to visitors and worshippers the over-taking feeling of inner peace, reassurance and serenity within. The Sukoon shaped masjid uses reinforced glass layers in its structure for its sustainable functionality and religious symbolism of Transparency. Located in the soon to be most vibrant district in Dubai, residents and passer-by will be able to witness the Muslim praying rituals from all angles around the mosque with no visual obstruction. Engraved with Calligraphic Islamic art and verses from The Holy Quran, the glass interior also displays the peaceful teachings of Islam across the walls of the mosque to inspire the worshipers. The Minarat which is one of the most visible aspects of a mosque, is a 110m high with verses from the Atha’an prayer calling “Hasten to the Prayer, hasten to the real success”. The Minarat is designed in a simple manner aligned with the creek tower (that is designed inspired by an Islamic minaret) to give an overall feeling that the tower is the bigger minaret for the mosque. Surrounding the Minarat and often symbolized to as being the Vault to Heaven, the Mosque’s Dome “Qubba” takes visitors on an exceptional journey. Along the exterior line of the Dome, a circular “Stairway to Heaven” takes them from the Mosque’s Courtyard to an open Pavilion. The Roof Pavilion can be used as an extra area for prayers or a space to self-reflect and find tranquillity. For safety purposes this area is also equipped with railway bars along it’s complete border. The journey symbolizes the self-discovery quests and references in multiple religions on prophet revelations that have occurred on the top of mountains and hills due to its geographical significance. -From Darkness to Light- Visitors can enter the mosque through an underground tunnel, which takes them on passage to the inner praying courtyard of the mosque. Along the lines of the tunnel, worshippers will find the ablution areas, where they can cleanse before praying. On a journey to find inner peace, one must purify themselves before leaving the darkness behind to find the light. It is with a pure soul that you find relief and calmness.

The mosque is a circular space surrounded by ascending stairs along the interiors of the Dome. An upper section is dedicated for Female Worshippers. The stairs can be used to perform the praying rituals or as a space to hold topic discussions and religious community workshops. Mosques have always been considered as a space to bring societies and communities together. The Sukoon Mosque is designed with a mindset and concept of being a Cultural, Educational and Spiritual space for the community. Visitors can find a fully equipped library with multiple facilities in the north end of the mosque. Why Glass? Glass is one the most unique construction materials that ensures sustainability in the following ways: - Glass has a high tolerance to tremendous amounts of pressure (up to MPa400) compared to Concrete. In using glass we thereby decrease the use of natural resources in construction. Some glass materials can even withstand pressures up to MPa 1000 thereby surpassing steel by many levels. - The general lifetime of glass as a material is a 100,000 years before starting to decompose. Glass is not a median to air or water, which makes it a material of very high resistance to natural factors and conditions. In using glass, the need to decommission or disassemble city structures decreases with time, allowing us to better use the land area to construct eternal city structures without having to ever consider the associated costs of maintaining these historical facilities. - Glass is a 100% completely recyclable material, which makes it very environmentally friendly when considering construction waste in the cases of structure disassembles. - Glass is a very good conductor and median of light which can be used to limit the consumption of energy and better yet generate throughout the day. 02 MEGA PIXEL
nn Wi er rd
By definition a pixel is a very small module that when combined with one another creates a bigger picture. From the heart of this very concept, “Mega-Pixel” was born. “Mega-Pixel” is a container filled with “Pixels” that with the creativity of the designer can be transformed into many different functions. In other words, it is a flexible space. Since “Pixels” can be utilized for several functions including chairs, tables, storage, etc., the container can be transformed into endless possible functional spaces. It is up to the imagination of the creator to paint a bigger picture using the canvas (container) and the paint (Pixels). What we tried to achieve is simply an ever metamorphasizing space that would meet the constantly changing demands of the user and market. “The PIXEL ART Competition By a2z - Bene” held in Dubai. 12 December 2017 3rd Place Winner

Ubiquitous
Community Center Where Old Meets Young - A Space Where time is Dissolved A space where time is dissolved, young and old are combined. A space where the old derives energy from the young, and the young derives wisdom from the old. These sectors of the society, if they were put together in the right place, they can be the time machine that will take the city to a better future. Instead of senior citizen care center and orphanages in separate facilities, the combination of both should be built, creating a hybrid between these two care facilities. There are many senior citizens care center where many elderly who are well educated are living deprived of love and alone, losing the value of time feeling that their life has come to an end. At the same time, there are many orphanages where children do not interact or receive love from elders. Why not combine them together and build an organization that would take care of both of them. Where senior citizens and orphans can live as a big family, take care of one other and experience what is missing.
The physical model is expressing the time/ architecture has taken an new turn. It is no more a rigid and stationery discipline. This presents us with the ability to create new multidisciplinary architectures that combines structure, location data, light, sound, motion and age into an intirley new enviroment. Timelss architecture can be physical or virtual or anthing in between. Timeless architecture embraces a diffrent metaphysic and a diffrent approach to architecture. It considers the space as module for presnt and future, creating a space where time is dissolved, to unite the old and the new. Everything we design is in fragments which transfer by time and give a new ideninty to its existence.

Can Architecture Help the Elderly Age Gracefully? Architects and designers should adopt more longterm thinking and have the elderly in mind at the inception of a project. First, the interesting thing about “the elderly is that they are YOU and ME in a few years, so in the end, we design for our own future! And yes, architects should have long-term thinking in mind, but they should turn the issue around and use aging as inspiration. There are so many amazing things we can come up with once we start to think about how we can make our cities and architecture more social, accessible, healthy and add services and volunteering programs that compensate for upcoming social and physical deficits, which will benefit all age groups including the young, the busy, and lazy.

Grohe-Home Spa

Aim of the project is to create a revolution of thought in the middle east about Home SPA. Given that the middle east; specifically The United Arab Emirates, appreciate luxury. Abide by the Islamic culture, we tried to emphasize these aspects in the Home SPA. Making clients enjoy the luxury of the outdoor SPA and experince the journey of a 7 star SPA at their home. Due to the large areas of land available in the UAE, we made use of the space to combine luxury, family donding, relaxation and holistic aspects.

As simple as you can see, my object is a frame. But it is not just a frame, it’s the essential element to create infinite structures; it is a pixel in a photo! The idea is to create a simple cell, with Male& Female connections. When frames are attached together, new shapes and structures come to life. Which means,
IT IS MATING SEASON!!
Plan,
SO THIS IS MY INSPIRING PIECE OF FURNITURE...
section elevation, side view;
call it whatever.. it is all the same.
All the connections are exactly the same, so to add another frame all you need to do is rotate the frame 180o and it will perfectly fit the other frame.
A USB connection is a universal connector. You can connect almost most electrical devices together using the USB connection. Inspired by that, anything you want can be attached to the frame by adding the same type of connection to the item you want to attach. You can attach wooden panel, or glass panel. Maybe you can attach a nest or fabric. All what is left to do is to
UNLEASH YOUR IMAGINATION!

02 CARWAZA
Carwaza 3rd PLACE WINNER “DELTA Faucet Sustainability Challenge” held in UAE The concept is creating a mobile HOTEL ROOM, where people can experince the whole city with their hotel room. It offers a new experince where you can rent a caravan that is connected to the hotel by tubes, just like airplanes are connected to the airport. when the caravan is parked and connected to the hotel, it functions as a normal hotel room. what makes this hotel different is the fact that you can take your room “caravan” and go anywhere, which gives you the freedom to choose your view for the night.
