March 12th. Native American attacked Plymoth Plantation. They went deep into colonial territory and burned the capital of Rhode Island and a part of Springfield MA.
May 26th battle was biggest defeats of colonial troops. Captain Pierce who led 60 Plymouth Colony colonial troops and Wampanoag Christian Indians, fought with Narragansett was defeated and all were killed in the battle. Nine of the colonists were first taken prisoner, tortured to death and were buried in 1976. A pile of stones was created to memorize the soldiers and believed to be the oldest veteran’s memorial in the United States
