Seacoast HSM
Seacoast HSM “Summer Kickoff” Finally! Now that everyone is done with school, summer can truly begin! To celebrate this phenomenon, we’re gathering at Seacoast on June 20th from 7-9pm to kick this summer off right! Expect some good food, fun and fellowship, a great new freshmen class to get to know, and best of all…we’ll be reminded how Jesus has come to do for us what we could never do for ourselves through some time in his Word together. Don’t keep this all to yourself…bring a friend!! “BBQ at the Burke’s” Time: “BBQ at the Burke’s” Time: 6:00-8:30 Place: Pastor Dale’s house (6537 Basalto Street, Carlsbad) We get fed every Sunday through the Word as Pastor Dale preaches. Now, it’s time for us to be fed the savory deliciousness that Pastor Dale makes on his BBQ!! On June 27th (and Aug 8th), Dale and Becky Burke have invited the HSM to their house in Carlsbad for a BBQ dinner, swimming, and more! Come with your (modest) swim suit, your towel, and of course…your appetite! You don’t wanna miss this!!! “All-Church BBQ” Come to SFC on the lower field and join us for a 4th of July BBQ! Cost and time: TBA “Swim and Study” Time: 7-9pm Place: TBA Don’t miss out on the fun we’re going to have on July 11th. The Swim & Study is an excuse to get together to eat, swim, sing and be reminded of who God is and what He’s done to rescue us. So a pool won’t be the only thing we dive into…we’ll also be diving into the Bible to rediscover this mysterious thing called “grace” “Hume Lake” Bus arrives at 7am on the 15th in the North parking lot Bus should return on Saturday, the 21st by 4pm. PS: Pick up a camp registration packet from the HSM room, fill out the forms and return them with your payment no later than July 1st. “Serve & Study” Time: “Serve & Study” Time: 7-9pm Place: Seacoast What does a life that has been gripped by the gospel begin to look like? It begins to look like a life of giving versus getting…self-sacrifice versus self-protection. Join us on July 25th from 7-9 to participate in an act of service that we’ll be doing together. We’ll also get to spend some time debriefing our week at Hume. Snack will be provided. See ya there!!! “Seniors & Students Breakfast” Be sure to set your alarm on Saturday morning, Aug 4th, and get over to Seacoast by 8am. Why? Well because Be sure to set your alarm on Saturday morning, you have a breakfast date! We’re gonna be getting together with some of the Seniors of Seacoast and enjoying not only a legit breakfast, but also a sweet time of conversation. There’s so much about life our elderly folks here at Seacoast can teach young whipper-snappers like us. At the same time, there’s tremendous potential for God to use us in their lives as well! This will be a breakfast that not only feeds the brain…but the soul as well!!! “Grace Children’s Home” Meet in south parking lot @ 7am. Returning by 6pm same day. We’re heading down to Mexico and spending the day with the kids at the Grace Children’s Home in Mexico. It’s always a blast hanging with the kids! Whether we’re playing sports, teaching guitar and music, doing art projects, or anything else, it’s all about relationships and making the kids feel loved. This trip is limited in space, so if you want to go, be sure to let Matt know ASAP. (PS: You need to have a valid Passport) “Summer Flashback & Fall Preview” Time: 7-9pm Place: Seacoast HSM Room Parents and Students!! This is for you BOTH! Food will be provided. Come join us as we celebrate all that God has done this past summer and all he’ll be doing this fall. We’ll be “spilling the beans”…sharing with you an exciting plan in store for HSM Life Groups. Plus, you’ll be introduced to the HSM leaders…the men & women who are passionate about partnering with you (parents) in order to point you (student) to Christ! “All Church Baptisms” Time: TBA Place: Moonlight Beach “LIFEGROUPS BEGIN!!!” We were all created for relationships. All of us want to belong. We all want to be known and loved at the same time. Lifegroups are the place where those needs and longings are met in real ways! We gather from 7-9 on Wednesday nights during the school year to experience the community made possible through Jesus’ Church. All high school students are welcomed and encouraged to come belong, and grow in the grace and knowledge of God. SUNDAY MORNINGS Join us every Sunday at 9am as we gather with the Seacoast family to worship God together in singing and in having our hearts and minds turned upward to him. At 10:45, High School students gather to connect with God and with one another. On Sunday morning, we want guests to feel like friends, and ultimately it’s our desire for them, through Christ, to become family.
“The Prodigal God” SUMMER SERIES BEGINS JUNE 17th
