Ceremonies At Slane Castle we offer our venue for an array of ceremonies including civil ceremonies, humanists blessings and multi denomination ceremonies. Choose our scenic Front Lawns (subject to weather conditions) or as an exceptional inside option, the magnificent Gothic Ballroom. We also have several alternative locations and options for more intimate ceremonies. Whichever beautiful space you choose is sure to add atmosphere to what will be the most memorable part of your day.
Bedrooms & Accommodation The Castle has seven spacious bedrooms accommodating up to 16 guests. These include: The King’s Room | The Earl & Countess’s Room | Lady Henrietta’s Room | Hunting Room| Lady Jane’s Room. A minimum of 5 deluxe double bedrooms on the Castle’s 1st floor must be booked with an option to take a further 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor (subject to availability).
Gothic Ballroom Weddings The amazing Neo-Gothic Ballroom was completed in 1821 for the visit of King George IV. Once an extensive library, the Ballroom was designed by Thomas Hopper and boasts one of the finest examples of Neo-Gothic works in Ireland. The marble arches and stunning ceiling all add to the charm of this unique Ballroom, which is an ideal venue for small, informal, or intimate banquets or events for up to 100 guests.
Courtyard Marquee Weddings For larger weddings we offer a traditional outdoor canvas marquee which caters for 200+ guests. It is located in the Castle Courtyard right next to the Castle itself. You will still have full use of the Main Floor of the Castle, including our magnificent Great Hall for your arrival reception, Dining Room, Drawing Room, late bar in the Morning Room and our beautiful Gothic Ballroom which is the backdrop for your evening entertainment & dancing after dinner.
Intimate Weddings at the Castle We specialise in Intimate Weddings for 15 guests & above at Slane Castle and would be delighted to tailor a Bespoke Intimate Wedding Package for you. We have a range of options and spaces available to create your unique day
An Exclusive Wedding Venue Slane Castle offers couples sole use of this beautiful venue for their wedding day, using the Gothic Ballroom which seats 100 guests or the Courtyard Marquee accommodating 200+ people. Private hire of Slane Castle allows you to use all adjacent rooms, such as the elegant Morning Room, Great Hall as well as the Castle Dining and Drawing rooms for all your pre and post dinner receptions, including Civil Ceremonies. The extensive gardens, woodland, courtyard and gothic arches provide the perfect backdrop for your photographs.
