The Mississippi Rive gave St. Louis a great chance to develop in 19th century unpredictable river was constrained and flooding event become a big problem to the city. The flood wall was built in the 1960s to protect the city. The project is part of a large plan from my another course, in my big plan I will choose some vacant site along the wall to make many functional area to connect the city with the river not see the wall as the insulation. I extend the wall to create a space, shape the space for the traffic and connect the large parking area next to the site.

The main idea of the project is let people see the beauty of the water instead of the flood image in their head. On the top of the building people will have a good view to see the Arch and the river which can not be see because the wall blocked and in the building the light through the water can have a lot of effect in the space different functional area will have different light effect.

This is the old building renovation project. The site is located in the north part of St Louis half mile away from the Mississippi river. The site is near the exit of the highway and the trestle. The area is full of the vacant land and the brick five level building used to be the market and bar. The concept of the project is using the existing building as the rest stop for the people walking or biking on the trestle adding the brewery function to offer the food and drink. The building also can be the exit for the trestle.

The area do not have large factory any more, the workers without working place still live in the street. This project aim to combine the housing with the factory function to crate place for the original workers to use their skill. Base on the residential area will crate lot of the waste fabric, the factory function in this project will be the fabric recycle.

There are two way of recycle fabric, one is special way to used the old fabric to crate new products like bags toys and clothes with the design. The other way is traditional way to crate the new fabric. The special way run into new added boxes on the top of the old building and another is running in the three old building. The site is located in a dense urban situation within building of very different scales and functions. The area named Thurgauerstrasse is one of the largest undeveloped land in city of Zurich. It will play an important role in further. The new primary school require 400 children about 18 classes and the building will also several shared public functional area such as sport shall, a library, and a multipurpose room. So the concept is to separate the rooms for children and public, the areas for the public are located near the street and make the school as the connection between the housing and commercial area
There is a large staircase in the courtyard as the passage let people go from the street level to the sport filed level and the courtyard is also open to the public when school is over.

This is a housing project, the site located in Barcelona. The site is at the west part of the city get a quite view to see the backyard garden of the palace and the south part of the site is the orchard and north part used to be the hunting ground for the royal. The site has quite good view so the concept is to make every apartment get a good view without any block. Start at four boxes split and take the border of the boxes put it on the site and turn the shape then pull up the border put houses on the line.

The site near the river in the middle part of liverpool the project aim to change the old park to a park offering the people a place spend time and have fun. considering to keep the historical value to create the reproduction of the scene happened in the last century. The idealis to use the structure to reappear the secene that ship berth in the dock, using the line to show the edge of the section of the ship.

Consider the strength produce by the middle upholder could be very strong. using pulley to connected because pulley can hold the stength . The main support are the steel part, as the timber part is used to protect the steel from transverse deformation.

The site located at the southeast part of Liverpool city which is the residence area with many old tradition housings with the tradition material like brick and timber. The ideal is to keep the tradition elements like the front and back yard, lager front windows and the pitched roof. Also add new elements skylight on the roof to bring more light into the building. there are three kinds of apartment can be chose by the owner and put in the place they want. So the outside wall are planned to use concrete which can not be destroy and the apartment made of tomber and brick which can easily be taken down and replace by new one.

the site is the small park in Liverpool and the ideal is to make the pavilion like the fog float below the trees. We try many patterns that taken from the nature. the distance between each pattern will create different space like the space for one person sit, for sit and pass, small playground and large area for exhibition. Using the structure to hold the pleces which is cuted become the table for people have rest drinking or reading.

In this research we are trying to find out the gravity effect on the flexible material in many ways. This model was made by six main step the first we prepare the stick and other material we will use, second we vreate the frame and then we put the flexible material in the frame and chose some point link the material with sticks at last put plaster into the flexible material.

We chose 13 points and three sticks made the material deformation, 4 points on the top and 9 on the stick. The 9 pionts were divide into three linked as a triangle.
