AENG 491: GRADUATION PROJECT JUVINLE CORRECTIONAL CENTER – YOUTH CENTER The senior project is a group project. The project is redefining the juvenile correctional centers in Egypt. After a whole semester of research, we began to design, starting by choosing the site in “Zenhom area” which is a low income area in the heart of Cairo. I was responsible for the youth center, which is part of the juvenile correctional center complex. The youth center aimed to create a link between the juvenile's and community to create a smooth transition. The concept of design that I chose for the youth center was rehabilitation of an existing youth center in our site.

AENG 456: CONTEXTUAL ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN STUDO VI KORBA ELEVATION DESIGN ELEVATION DESIGN ALTERNATIVES
PROJECT I: In Korba “Rames street” there are several historic buildings of architectural importance. in the design of the facade “mixed facade”, I was able to capture the features that make those historic buildings important and significant and apply them to the new facade design in modern development. and since each side of the street has its own identity, meaning one side is modern and the other is classical, it is a must to respect both sides and design a facade that would fit into the context. by studying the grid of the building facades and understanding the context and the social behavior of people in that area, I was able to create a design that accommodate people’s needs to personalize their space and to enhance the identity of the street and the corresponding areas, adding a more welcoming and greeting atmosphere to the street facades.

AENG 455: SMART BUILDINGS AND HIGH TECH ARCHITECTURE STUDIO V DESERT TOWN PROJECT
The purpose of a desert town is to utilize vacant land while making use of the macroclimate of the desert, the proposed site of our conceptual desert town is situated at the Qattara depression in the western desert of Egypt. hypothetically, since water is the source of life, the depression will be gradually filled with salt water from the Mediterranean sea. Hereby, it will be flooded creating a large water body that will sustain the proposed town. the water canal linking the Mediterranean and the depression is intended to flow through the site. this entails that electricity will be generated at the core followed by a process of water purification that releases the rest of the water to canals in the site that leads to the depression. PROJECT SITE LOCATION
Project: Qattara depression Type: city Overall Size: 18,000 Km2 (80km length, 120km width) Lowest point: 133m below sea
AENG 455: SMART BUILDINGS AND HIGH TECH ARCHITECTURE STUDIO V DESERT TOWN PROJECT This plot is a part of the service zone. It is a multifunctional center that contains a theater. Along with offices and shopping area. The concept follows the general outline of the master plan. At the same time, the form is a dramatic gesture illustrating a compilation of functions clustered into one building. There are two types of cracks: those defining the building and others that cut through the building. In the center they perform as outdoor seating areas for the restaurants and cafes. The exterior façade as well as the plan are a reflection of the concept of cracks.
The lasercutting machine was used to create the shapes of the plots and were manually assembled together.

PROJECT II: The main project is an expo pavilion -The pavilion’s function is to celebrate the structure system the each of us choose. -First, the experiential model, which is a physical model that reflects the experience that we want the users to have when they enter the pavilion -My concept is the transition from an earthly state to a heavenly state , going through a transition in between

AENG 454: THE ART OF STRUCTURE AND TECHNOLOGY STUDIO VI EXPO PAVILION – THE DOME
Project I: This is a group project where we were asked to write a poem about a structure system of our choice, we chose “the dome” and then express it using cardboard only. The model scale is 1:1. We created a structure that the users see as a 2D form on the ground and they would lift it to create their own space. -The concept is that you create your own home and each home is personalized by its user, so as our structure. -Moreover, we had to keep in mind several criteria such as stability, soundness, creativity.

AENG 473: DIGITAL DESIGN STUDIO AND WORKSHOP SHADING DEVICE- STREET FURNITURE
Integrating architecture and art by creating a sculpture that functions as a pavilion or a space that can be used for seating and shading. The shape is inspired by cubism where movement and fragmentation are key elements. In addition, Adding a geometric pattern to provide light as well as interesting eect to the interior space. 3D MODEL CREATED USING RHINO, PHYSICAL MODEL CREATED USING LASERCUTTER MACHINE
AENG 453: ENVIRONMENT AND SUSTAINABILITY STUDIO III “THE CITY WITHIN A CITY” STREET GRID CONCEPT
“ A City within A City”, This project is a reflec on of the place itself, it is a product of layers upon layers of different aspects. In other words, it is created as a response to the peoples’ needs, as well as the surroundings and emphasizing the element of me. Throughout the years, this area “Al Hussian” has been changing con nuously, buildings are added and others are removed, yet they all tend to follow one another, resul ng in a natural street pa ern. This pa ern is a reflec on of these changes thus a city was born, and from here comes the phrase “A city within a city”, which is the core of the project. Aslo, giving us a flow that allows us to let the street into the project and enhance social inte on. This project consists of 2 layers of buildings ( ground and basement), created by the outcome pa ern of the streets on a wider scope of this area. A er conduc ng a site analysis, and a er interviewing different number of people, a program was developed in order to reach the on of the users. u mate fun onality and

AENG 428: DETAIL DESIGN AND FINISHED IN BUILDINGS “ABSTRACT WOODEN STAIR DESIGN” The basic idea of the design is having no apparent connections, where the tread and the side wall or in other words railing of the staircase, as well as the support of the tread are all created from one piece of wood. the piece of wood is carved and created specifically for this staircase (custom made).

AENG 368: HOUSING DESIGN AND GIS BOULAK HOUSING PROJECT MASTERPLAN
“Boulak Housing Project” is a group project. My role in this project was to divide tasks and manage all work. AENG 352: FORM, SPACE AND COMPOSITION PROJECT I:ARCHITECTURE OF IDENTITY “EXPO PAVILION” Project I: An Architecture of Identity
World Expo Pavilion for “ Identity in the Age of Globalization”
This project entails the design of a World Expo pavilion for a country “Wales” along the theme of “Identity in the Age of Globalization”. As the world moves towards a global culture, and communication and information exchange has begun to break down socio-cultural boundaries, we are coming upon a time where cultural and national identity needs to be redefined, in order for in to be reinstated. An Expo event is a golden opportunity for countries to exhibit themselves in the light that they desire, putting forth the best they have to offer, in an attempt to rectify common stereotypical misconceptions and reinforce perceived strengths, not to mention the economic benefits of positive representation.
