Selected Academic + Professional Projects Armature Urbanism | University of Washington | 2010 This thesis project details the design of a trail at the fringe of urban infrastructure; the trail passes through a power line corridor, a freeway underpass, and a forested hillside of invasive and successional Northwest species. The project examines trail design as a constructed narrative, an urban planning priority, and a graphic design challenge. The design project and related writings have been recognized through: exposition at the Barcelona European Landscape Biennial (2010), WASLA Written Work Student Award (2010), and invitation to submit to Terrain Vague: The Interstitial as Site, Concept, Intervention (UMass, 2011). King Street Visioning Project | University of Washington | 2009 Co-led a class of student design teams through a community participation design process, including; development of outreach activities, interpretation of community input; communication of this community input to students to inform design process; compilation and graphic summary of student design work for submission to international design competition. Class work was selected for exhibition at the 4th International Architecture Biennale Rotterdam.
