CUT, SHIFT AND GOLD
HYBRID WORK(PLACE) FROM OBJECT THROUGH MEDIUM
The buildings resemble severe structural damage such as dislocation, internal tearing, and impurity, or deviation, from the structural order which is regarded as opposing or rather, threatening the former values of harmony, unity and stability. The warehouses propose a new view of structure; that the flaws are intrinsic to the structure, and thus cannot be removed. Uprooting concepts and tools from their original context and applying them elsewhere favours adaptive thinking and unprecedented, hybrid solutions. To break the ever-present stereotype that gold is used to signify luxury and affluence, the structures are gold.
cracked golden bag
3D collage
Chopped up a paper bag into pieces and then again passed the gold foil through it.
VOIDS OF GOLD 3D collage
The bow is randomly broken into pieces and then assembled again which has the gold foil passing through the voids which are created by breaking it.
cracking gold glass 3D HYBRIDS digital
The glass pieces were cut and then placed randomly while some of the pieces just had their materials replaced, which continues the effect of using the gold, which gives us an destroyed yet reassembled object.
scissor scissor on the wall 3D HYBRIDS digital
This pair of scissors shows the repetition of it’s handle and the concept of cutting and assembling of the blades is visible.
crooked warehouse 3D space
A wireframed dome with a gold shade was cut into pieces and then were twisted, turned, and was converted into a destructed amphitheatre.
the hexagonal void 3D space
The cut pieces are then turned into the staircase by multiple repetitions again, it is a corner of a staircase which has a hexagonal dome in the corner which signifies the void.

conceptual drawings
views LIFTED LEVELS: To imbibe the sense of a cubical work station, the floors surrounding it have been lifted while eliminating the partition walls.
GOLD: To break the ever-present stereotype that gold is used to signify luxury and affluence I have used gold.
views RED RODS: Iron rods have been utilized as a binding component, they have been used as a forklift. They are designed in such a way that they uplift the floor beneath which they rest.
GLASS: Glass walls have been used to incorporate a sense of transparency. It also highlights all the structural elements along with their materials used.
VIEWS SKEWED STAIRCASE: Skewing the staircase imparts a sense of misdirection, by playing with it’s geometry upholding the concept of cut and shift which has been incorporated throughout the structure. luxury and affluence gold has been used.
informal seating: The informal seating at different portions of the spaces provide a foyer to the open spaces.
VIEWS cafe: Providing a dedicated work café gives your employees a less formal area in the workplace to go to get some ‘home comforts’. An area with comfy furnishings away from desks or dedicated meeting spaces can encourage people to unwind when they need to take a break.
informal seating: The informal seating on the groundfloor consists of sofas which could be used for group discussions.
HAWA UJHAAS
Remodelling Residenses
A house which satisfies the lives of 5 people of a very different age groups. The word Hawa Ujhas means ventilation, and that is what I have tried to achieve in this project. The house consists of many open to sky spaces which even lets the floors to connect internally. The connection with the street has also been kept in the mind because that I feel is the most important aspect, to build any residential space in the pols. This house could also be called a haven keeping in mind the busyness of the streets.
