The Helena High School Jazz Band is comprised of students ranging from grades nine through twelve. The jazz group plays a variety of styles and genres from big band swing to light rock. Every appearance presents them as ambassadors for the era of “Big Band” music and the city of Helena.

The 2BLU “core” is George Dudley on guitars and Bruce Andrews on vocals and harp. George honed his guitar chops in New England while Bruce worked out his musical style in the Deep South. The two met in 1994 and they’ve been playing and writing ever since. Their original music reflects their faith, sense of humor and personal struggles. 2blumusic.com

The Edmonds Butler Band is a Birmingham based working band steeped in Blues, Southern Rock and Soul. The musicians have entertained far and wide for many years. You’ll want to come whet your appetite and you’ll leave wondering if you have room for dessert.

The Buck Creek Festival is a free, family-friendly community event held on the second weekend of May at Helena’s Amphitheater Park. On the banks of Buck Creek, just below the dam, the heavily wooded site, together with the sound stage, provides a wonderful venue for people of all ages to enjoy crafts, children’s activities, great food, and fabulous music. Over the past 17 years the festival has returned more than $297,000 back into the community for a variety of projects that benefit the citizens of Helena.
