Pg2 VesselWatch lite VesselWatch lite uses the Motorola digital radio network in combination with a VW gateway, allowing seamless communication and interaction between the crew and your onboard guests. The VesselWatch lite solution becomes your Steward call system , alarm monitoring and crew management tool. In addition, you get all features of arguably the best UHF radio system on the market. VesselWatch lite is designed to simplify the communication system on board, ensuring key information and data is delivered to the right crew member in the most efficient way possible.
Guest Services VesselWatch lite can interface with a current call system or it can act as it’s own Steward call system. The system removes the need for pagers and outdated call buttons. Using the latest iPod touch your guest can activate a steward call, this is then sent directly to the required stewards Motorola handset. One of the stewards can then accept the task and all other stewards are notified avoiding several stewards turning up to the same call.

Pg3 Enhanced Safety VesselWatch lite aims to provide a safer environment and looks to decrease the risk of missed alarms which may result in damage to your vessel’s systems. Preselected handsets can receive crucial alarm notifications directly from your alarm and monitoring system. Currently, many vessels are upgrading from old analogue systems to the latest digital systems. This is primarily for two reasons; security concerns and safety. In terms of security, anyone can listen to analogue radios as they are unsecured and not encrypted. Whilst a vessel is entering port, analogue systems can put safety at risk as they often suffer from interference from other radios at a crucial high risk phase of manoeuvring.
Efficient Vessel Management Using the VesselWatch lite software, senior crew can create and send jobs to specific crew, who can acknowledge the progress and completion of each task. Announcements can be sent via the radio to all crew or specific user groups. Both jobs and crew announcements can be sent live or pre-programmed for a specific time and date. All activity can be logged automatically. This software can be accessed remotely by the Captain if required.
