The object is answering this by asking the users to take on a powerful pose, and to some extent claim the space as their own.

The object has a confrontational relationship to the site (courtyard). The courtyard can be perceived as a place where submission occurs, due to the nature of the program of the place. The courtyard is not an independent space, but more a space between buildings. This means, that since the buildings surrounding the courtyard are mainly used by the administration of the school, the courtyard becomes their space of getting to and from. Students may not feel at home here, as one would never know when one is being watched by the administration.

DEVICE FOR MANIPULATION

J.D. BALLARD “Here the long evenings made brilliant sunsets of the sky and dessert, crossing the sails of the sand-yachts with hieroglyphic shadows, signatures of all the strange cipers of the desert sea,

Based on the idea of manipulating identity through perception, this device changes the way objects/bodies are perceived. How the identity of something be manipulated, without changing the object/body itself. How the image of something can be twisted, by changing the setting and/or perspective. Inspired by a J.D. Ballard quote. PREP-MODE space for object(s) light source

SUMMER HOME AT FLĂ˜

path continuing to the mountains

built like a puzzle

Built into the mountains, the idea behind this summer home was to make it reinforce the surrounding nature the mountains and the sea. The building lies in protection from the weather, but with the big circular window facing the sea, the ocean is still a part of the interior. Model in 1:50, laser cut with rocks of concrete.
