Nobu Hotel Restaurant and Lounge Caesars Palace

Nobu Hotel Restaurant and Lounge – the first-ever Nobu Hotel – is located in the Centurion Tower at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The tower, which was built in 1970, underwent a multimillion dollar refurbishment to become the Nobu Hotel. Rockwell Group took both its 20 years of experience of designing Nobu restaurants worldwide and the experience of crafting brands into creating a hotel that fully represents the Nobu lifestyle.

In every Nobu restaurant that we have designed, natural, hand crafted, and textured materials are incorporated to reflect the freshness and delicacy of the cuisine as well as Nobu’s roots in rural Japan. We also try to reveal elements of the local landscape and culture, creating a unique marriage of iconic Nobu elements within its cultural context. For this project, Rockwell Group combined Nobu’s signature style with oversized elements. The interior of the Nobu Hotel lobby is covered in wood creating a simple, yet dramatic single gesture that defines the entire space. The walls and ceilings are comprised of custom wood blocks made from fir, hemlock and oak, in random and irregular shapes, sizes and colors. The walls also feature backlit onyx panels that extend from the floor to the ceiling. The floor is covered in end grain wood squares. Guests are welcomed at a custom-designed reception desk that suggests the shape of a boulder and is finished in a high gloss black lacquer. The guest rooms are accessed by dedicated elevators with antique bronze doors. The walls and ceilings of the elevators are covered in the same custom wood blocks as in the lobby.

sabi, a design aesthetic of simplicity, evocative transience and beauty in unexpected and natural rawness. The bar and lounge area feature hand-chiseled black Kadapa stone flooring, custom sofas upholstered in Donghia fabric and tables with green marble table tops. The 26-seat bar is located towards the center of the lounge area. The custom curved wood bar was designed to evoke a hand carved wood bowl. The main dining area features 5 semi-private dining “pods” that create unique spaces that are both screening and revealing. panels that wrap around the pod. The other four pods are defined by curved abaca walls. Rockwell Group designed lighting fixtures in each pod that are inspired by Japanese tea whisks and vibrant kimonos. The lighting fixtures are covered in a dark woven Chilewich fabric and are lined with purple and orange suede with a silver zig zag pattern from Moore and Giles. The pods provide unique dining experiences for guests including teppenyaki tables and chef’s tables. The largest pod seats 13 people and can be screened off to create a private dining room. Oversized glowing paper lanterns evoking jellyfish are scattered in the center of the dining area. All of the carpentry work is of free design, with eclectic character, a combination of styles, different types of accessories and a semblance of disorder, inspired by old garden sheds seen in backyards and public parks, built eclectically from parts collected and formed into a structure. Nir designed the carpentry work in a non-symmetrical style, integrating different door designs and door handles with a combination of wood shutters, all conceived and built from scratch in the style of yard sheds. The bar ceiling was painted with a special technique to resemble rust; the walls look aged and partially exposed, seemingly painted in layers over the years. The bar is constructed of exposed cement that Nir ordered cast on site, combined with custom-made and specially fitted diagonal LED lighting fixtures that resemble plants growing naturally in the wild.

The kitchen wall and huge glass-metal window have also been painted in shades of rust with a special, innovative technique using acid. The restaurant has two VIP rooms; the first room seats up to 40 people, and is entirely surrounded by transparent glass walls to enable the desired privacy for a private party, without blocking the magnificent view seen by restaurant diners seated at any location in the room. In addition, an airy dividing wall constructed of five high shutters installed on a 360° revolving shaft outside the VIP room, isolates it from the restaurant and grants privacy to diners, again, without blocking the view. The second VIP room is smaller and contains a unique massive wood table seating 10. The room is partially open to the outdoors, but in a manner which still ensures privacy, via a

special design combining wood, metal and glass. The room is closed off by folding shutters for further privacy if desired. Above the table in the VIP room, hang two specially designed chandeliers exquisitely constructed of glass wine bottles into which the light fixtures have been cleverly inserted. The important idea in the design was to grant both diners and employees a functional space that is both comfortable and inviting, but also offering an experience where at any point in time all of one's senses (including taste) are stimulated by all the design elements from every seat in the restaurant. A restaurant is a very functional concept, but in this exciting location, your sense of sight, touch, smell, taste and hearing will always be stimulated with the most pleasurable of results for all.

The Leo Restaurant, located in Cinema City, Jerusalem, is a fashionable, new chef restaurant and lounge bar, owned by chef Eran Ben Arush, and designed by renowned Israeli designer, Nir Yefet. The restaurant combines a modern French cuisine with ethnic-Jerusalem cuisine. The sources of inspiration for Nir's exclusive restaurant design include gardens, courtyards, outdoor elements and an integration of interior and exterior design. What led Nir Yefet to select this concept was the fact that most of the external walls of the restaurant are clear, plate glass windows through which one obtains a 360° view of Jerusalem's unique landscape. Using this to advantage, Nir wished to integrate indoors with outdoors. With this in mind, materials were selected and the site was completely redesigned from ground up – the floor tiles selected for the restaurant are more customarily seen in outdoor patios and yards, the lighting fixtures are specially and organically designed and seem to extend naturally from the ceiling and from the unique carpentry work.

第二贵宾室较小,放有能坐10人的独特的大型木餐桌,房间部分对室外敞开,特质结合木、金属和玻璃的使用又 仍保证了隐私。如需更多私人空间,折叠式百叶窗可将空间完全封闭。室内餐桌上方悬挂着两个由酒瓶构造的精美枝形 吊灯,酒瓶内又巧妙地插入了照明灯。 设计的重要理念是给顾客和员工营造舒适、温馨的多功能空间。同时在餐厅内的任何角落,人的感觉(包括味道) 能在任何时间点被设计元素激发。餐厅遵循了实用的概念,但在这一令人兴奋的空间内,人的视觉、触觉、嗅觉、味觉 和听觉总是能最大化地激发,产生最愉悦的效果。

The new restaurant AMALTEA jardin de sabores is located in the living heart of the Rosario nightlife, the Avenida Pellegrini Street. The space develops in the middle of the block, occupying almost 50 meters length, on the ground floor of an old house. The idea was give life to a warm meeting place, rescuing the existing structure and completely changing the design and ambiance. Entering the restaurant we found the living, a very versatile space, usable both morning and night, continuing through the newly renovated lounge, with wooden furniture and the bar with

a small bakery, a warm environment is perceived, perfect for consume a breakfast or a working lunch. Through the main saloon there is the strongest point of the restaurant, the patio. This space was zoned and divided into two distinct parts: the terrace, a quiet place for lunch and dinner and the beer patio, a more informal space for a quick bite on-the-go or having beer at night. The varied sectoring allows to respond to the different needs and tastes, so expanding the typology of the clients. From the black walls, the wicker furniture, to the graphics and the green wall, everything was thought out and designed to bring warmth and a simple but enchanting ambiance. Also the name: Amaltea, a stunning mythological figure who inspires safety and recalls beautiful and magical place in the past, to bring to present this new “garden of flavors”.
