D-AIR® STREET COMMUNICATION M-KIT J-KIT The motorcycle unit communicates through two radio channels with two-way communication in continuous mode with the electronic unit in the jacket. This is important to ensure protection against the electromagnetic interference that has become increasingly more common in the environment The M-kit recognizes both its “own” driver and passenger (only when present) thanks to the two SIM CARDs supplied together with the kit that must be inserted by the user in the electronic unit in the jacket.

D-AIR® CERTIFICATION D-air® Street is a product that integrates multiple technologies and comes ahead of its time. Technical standards for the certification of this type of protector have not yet been issued. For this reason, the independent TÜV SÜD agency was required to create an interdisciplinary team of experts that drafted a Validation and Certification Program that envisions the execution of 800 tests in the following areas:

D-AIR® STREET – CHARGING THE JACKET A fully-charged battery provides 30 hours of operation. In order to recharge the battery, connect the USB cable supplied to the connector positioned inside the plate inserted in the garment. Let the battery charge for around 5 hours. D-AIR® STREET – SMART CARD INSERTION IMPORTANT: the driver and the passenger have different SIM CARDS. In order to insert the SIM CARD, open the rubber panel and insert it into the slot.

D-AIR® STREET – OPERATION ON THE MOTORCYCLE The D-air® Street motorcycle switches on automatically when the motorcycle is started Once switched on, the electronic unit immediately begins its search for an electronic jacket distinguished by the presence of the SIM CARD matched to the M-kit. Once this jacket has been found, the pairing process begins. A second search begins for the identification of the passenger unit. After one or both of the J-kit electronic units have been identified, the pairing that has been made – the recognition of the corresponding protective unit(s) – will be communicated by the display.

D-AIR® STREET DIAGNOSTICS In case of malfunction, the self-diagnostics featured in the electronics in the M-kit and J-kit will promptly warn the driver. There are two man-machine communication channels: Physical, through the vibration of the “vibramotor” built into the waistband. Visual, through the information on the display.
