The Moments we share in the presence of the King at the throne of grace is incompariable!
Let His music and worship usher you in… "Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works.” ~ 1Chronicles 16:9 As I look back at what the Lord has brought me through I am able to draw from those moments to sing a song of praise from my heart. What has the Lord brought you through lately? Let your testimony of victory compel you to worship our maker, the author and finisher of our faith through song. In light of recollections abroad and while walking through the quiet villages of Egham, here’s a free form song I sang as it came to my heart. May it encourage you to sing your own song unto the Lord as you revel in His creation. He inspires us, He is the maker of all things beautiful Who are we to him? His children, his handiwork Oh to be passionate about the savior, While He loves us we are called to love him, with all our heart, all our mind, all our soul Give it back to him. Love him, love him like you’ve never loved before…. Before, you knew the tainted version of love, Before, you knew how love could hurt, Before, you knew Let him take you back to a time… A time when love was pure, A time when love could heal, A time when life was Radiant.

2. Chosen Pearl
Know Your Godly Heritage
I thank the Lord for a Godly heritage, which allows us to find Christ and His will no matter where we go. Once you know whose you are, you can be positive that your heritage is one worth celebrating! I encourage you my friend to be sold out to Jesus today as you contemplate why you are a set-apart Jewel “For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.” 1Corinthians 6:20 (KJV) Here is an experience that brought me face to face with just how powerful a Godly heritage can be: I walk out of my dormitory knowing I look good tonight. “Beautiful Red” is the name the guys call out as I walk past them. I decide to check out a guy’s party as he asked me to come and bring along some beautiful friends… as I am headed to the party, I don’t feel like the “Lady Stacy Marks” I once knew and I am not so sure if others see me that way anymore. Some whisper as they see me and recognize who I am, they say what is she doing here? She parties at places like this? I ask myself all these questions too. I am not angry but very bothered that it took others to show me where I shouldn’t be. My conscience became so out of tune because I spent more time seeking the approval of man than that of God. As a child of the most high, I realize now how important it is to be set-apart & consistent in the message of Christ.
Chosen Pearl cont.. One way I can do this is to not dress as though I am of the world or place myself in certain environments where guys can violate me or disrespect the calling God has placed on my life. As you can see from the scenario above, there was a time when I knew I wasn’t fully on track because of all the new opportunities presented to me my first year of college. I was living on campus, away from the sheltered place I called home, but thankfully I found my way because I soon realized just how precious my Godly heritage was and is. Even if you didn’t start out with a Godly heritage, in Christ, we are made new, and you can now adopt a Godly heritage as your own. We hear it all the time, we are not our own, we were created to glorify our maker. So if the question was posed to you today whom are you glorifying with your actions and is there a way you can further glorify the king? What would be your answer? If you have accepted Jesus as your personal Savior and received the gift of the Holy Spirit, then we know He is living inside of you and we have hope that He guides you each and every day. Similarly, for Christians to exist as a chosen people, they must have points of separation, both external and internal. In relation to dress and adornment, God has not given us arbitrary commands, but He has chosen points of distinction that also achieve His other objectives of modesty, moderation, humility, and sex differentiation. Consequently, Christian guidelines for conduct and dress help us to remain separate from the world around us. They help us to distance us from temptation and sin, and they help us to maintain our identity. (Bernard, 112)
In this journal entry, note ways you can share your heritage simply by being who you are and who God has called you to be through your every day involvement at school, home, church and in your community. Write a synopsis of your God-given heritage. If you know your descendant’s information or you are in a position to do some research on your heritage I encourage you to probe and make a record of what you find here. This is only the beginning of what the Lord wants to reveal to you about where you are coming from as He fully prepares you for where He desires to take you.

3. Searching Pearl
As Featured on the Intro. Episode of The Radiant Pearl Living Podcast
Here is a reflection of what He has done. If you are seeking the Lord for something, a particular answer about your next steps or a contemplated move then this will really speak to you. Only you and the Lord truly knows the season you are in and your experience is a praise testimony waiting to burst forth. Take the time today to record how the Lord caused you to shine from a growing experience after searching diligently for God’s will to be done. My journey is documented below to get you started. Today I received a call and an email about an opportunity, which further con-firmed God’s divine plan to set me on course for the path He would like me to take. My Jesus always has a sweet way of orchestrating our steps, they are ordered by the Lord. See below for a journal entry I made years ago (May 4, 2006 to be exact) when I was in transition and searching for the place I needed to pursue my undergraduate studies during a critical season of my life: More than ever, I know what it means to say Jesus is an on time God. The reason why I say this is because this past year the lord has brought me through so much. He has processed me for something great! I’m so excited ya’ll, because I feel the breakthrough. Can you feel it! can you feel it! woohoo.... I’m sooo ecstatic to know the lord has heard my prayer. What prayer? well, as of last semester I was feeling rather stagnant and felt like I’m not where the lord wants me to be. But you know what! I was wrong, the lord had me where he wanted me, for the time that I was there. I later came to find out that for this season the lord would have me attend FSU, and I loved it for the most part.
Searching Pearl cont.. It is such a joy to know that I will be able to finish my years at an all girls’ college, quite similar to a school I started in Jamaica (Hampton High School for Girls) and never finished due to my family and I migrating to the United States of America. This opportunity to be apart of a wonderful esteemed sisterhood has once again been granted. I’m also aware that I am called to reach out to young women like me, who have fallen victims to the worldly distractions that exist in the vulgar society we live in. I am hoping that one day girls & women everywhere will see that they can be loved, respected and admired as a lady, a lady of Christ.I’ve been through my share of misfortunes and disappointments, but every time I come back to the idea that “A saint is just a sinner who falls down but then gets up” I am getting up and I intend to keep standing, keep my ground, because I am a sanctified child of the King. I am a daughter of the most high priesthood and intend to live like that. Remember my friend, to come out as pure gold you have to go through the fire. No matter what tribulation you may be going through or whatever temptation you are being faced with, the lord will not give you more than you can bear. So, when you do overcome know that you are a closer to being gold, you are closer to God.It has been laid on my heart to write a book (Pearls of the Earth was born) and make it known that one’s prayer can be answered if you only believe. One thing I didn’t mention which could serve beneficial to the unbelieving man, is that many times I saw myself there on Spelman’s campus witnessing, singing and reaching souls. Even though I wasn’t accepted then, and wasn’t sure that’s where the lord wanted me, I still pictured it and had faith
Searching Pearl cont.. I expressed to the lord in prayer that “if it is His will, not permissive will, but His perfect will allow me to get into Spelman.” Even though I didn’t think I could survive another semester at FSU, I pleaded with the lord to not let me in if it is not His will. I only ask that God’s “Perfect” will be done. The funny thing is that I sent in my application in time for the deadline: March, and I was expecting to find out by April the 1st if I was accepted. Problem surfaced because my high school transcript wasn’t received and there was an ongoing problem with it being faxed. I kept on top of things until they did receive it. I called them on the day that they were suppose to mail decision letters, only to find out that because of the transcript set-back I would not receive my decision letter until May. During that time I did some mighty self-searching and God-seeking, it was during this time that I could be processed for what was ahead. I later came to realize that this extension was God’s way of not allowing me to be complacent with the decision of me going away. I still didn’t know where I stood and continuously prayed to the lord for an answer. I didn’t find that answer on my knees, on the phone or waiting for a reply on May 1st (the day my decision letter was to be mailed off) but after church on April the 30th. My mother and I went to pick up the mail and while driving home I noticed the Spelman envelope, two to be exact, one small and another large. Before helping my mom unpack the groceries, I went to my room, went down on my knees and opened the letter that informed me of my acceptance. At that very moment, it felt like all the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders.
Searching Pearl cont.. After a while, a part of me was very uneasy because I just couldn’t see myself there any longer. When I asked my friends if they have ever thought about transferring they claimed that it crossed their minds and some responded with the question: where would I go? You know what my friend, the lord found me a place to go and it’s quite spectacular. Now that I think back, it’s just amazing how I thought there was no way out, no place for me to go. It was when I laid there in my bed reading a novel, “Leaving Atlanta” by Tayari Jones that Spelman College was mentioned, the school I’ll be attending in the Fall. To tell you the truth I never really heard about Spelman, yes I heard the name, but no one really took the time to tell me about this Institution. Nevertheless, after reading about it in the novel, I started hearing about it all over the place, from friends to the television. I still can’t believe that is where I’ll be going in the fall, because, it’s not a school I would ever think about going to in the past. After all, I’m all about Diversity (little did I know it was full of diversity!). As a matter of fact, the lord made a way out of no way. I was no longer stuck at a place I didn’t want to be. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like I was isolated and doing poorly where I was, but it just didn’t feel right. After breaking the news to some close friends of mine, they informed me that I influenced them spiritually and enlightened them in so many ways and in return I was so grateful to learn my year there was not a waste of time. Rather, I met people, went places, and did things that would prepare me for what was ahead. ““Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1
Your journey may not entail seeking the right college you should attend, but perhaps it is finding the right place you should live or the church you should at-tend. You do have a story worth sharing! Dig deep and you will find it. What have you sought God for and He provided the answer to in time? What are you seeking the Lord for as you fervently wait for Him to come through and tell you what your next steps are?

4. Patient Pearl
Persistent and prayerful is who I will be! As Fe3atured on the Radiant Pearl Living Podcast
“Wait on the Lord, be of good courage and He shall strengthen thine heart, wait I say on the Lord.” Psalm 27:14 After a full and invigorating day of Christmas Caroling, I was just ready to be home. I had just finished dropping of the girls who were with me and on my way to the highway there were many roundabouts and then my phone navigator died. Finally, I came to a familiar place with flashing lights that immediately seemed to signal to me “Beware!” but it simply informed me of the traffic ahead and that all the lanes were blocked as a result of a recent accident. I was only supposed to be thirty minutes away from home but this meant my journey would be extended to at least an hour, a lot more time than I and the others before me anticipated. I prepared myself to turn back as I saw the others before me did. Hours later, I was lost, desperately looking for a way home. I tried all the routes I thought I could find in order to avoid the one route I knew would work as it was excruciatingly slow at the time. I later realized I was going around in circles and ended up back just where I started. I grew very tiresome and decided I would just wait in the traffic. Minutes later I found out it wasn’t so bad waiting after all. The waiting may have been long, but in the meanwhile, I was able to find other things to do and complete. I could have avoided all the roundabouts and gotten to my destination sooner if I had just waited patiently from the very beginning. Waiting can be very hard but in the end we see it was really the best option after all.
4. Patient Pearl cont.. Are you waiting for a dream to come true in your life? Have you ever found yourself wallowing in self-pity and like you want to give-up? Don’t allow the enemy to win this battle, keep pushing and exercise patience. I am still waiting for certain things to manifest in my life. We serve a faithful God who will never leave or forsake us. If He said He would do it, it will come to pass! Let us choose to trust and believe all God’s promises will manifest in His time if we keep Him at the center and delight in His ways. Serve humbly and pray persistently until something happens! There are so many scriptures and books like that of Esther devoted to the art of asking. Seek after the Lord and develop an intimacy with God that will make it natural for you to make your petitions known to the Lord daily in prayer. All that we do can become a prayer to the Lord as you patiently wait for an answer. Let a lifestyle of prayer embody who you are, that it becomes a major part of your being, even when you are not physically in action. “Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord: Let thy loving-kindness and thy truth continually preserve me.”Psalms 40:11
What are you waiting for? Record your dreams, desires, your wish list filled with promises you are patiently hoping for the Lord to fulfill. You’ll be happy when you return to your entry years later to see how faithful the Lord was to answer your prayers and supply your every need. You may even later see you had a shift in perspective when it comes to needs and wants in your life. You are radiant!

5. Sparkling Pearl
How can you commit to a greater cause?
Seven days shall they purge the altar and purify it; and they shall consecrate themselves.” Ezekiel 43:26 Anything we offer before the Lord needs to be consecrated. Whether it is our voices, our writings, our offerings, we should be mindful of how we present them to the Lord our God because He is holy. We will not diminish that fact simply because of the state we were born in. Our sinful state gives us no excuses to not try and build something beautiful, something marvelous for Jesus. When you go before the Lord, it is important to search your hearts and motives to make sure you are able to enter into a consecrated state. As you begin to make an altar before the Lord, think of the ways in which you can honor Him. After you’ve suffered for a while, you come to see you were not only meant to shine but sparkle and glisten brightly for our maker. Sparkling here is just another way of saying glorious! Let God’s glory exude through you and your living. Before we can truly shine we must put away every idol in our lives, anything that gets more attention than our one true love, Jesus. Everything that could be seen as displeasing to the King must be set aside. Leave no room for evil to enter into your tabernacle, your body that you have consecrated unto Jesus. Live a set-apart life for His good and Holy work.
Sparkling Pearl cont.. God has a plan for your life, my life, each and every one of our lives but we must first ac-knowledge our sins. Understanding the fact that we were all born into sin but we are given a clean slate through Christ Jesus is a start to becoming the sparkling gem God intended you to be.
The Lord is specific about the type of altar we should build for Him so His glory can come down and rest within us. Will you acknowledge that today? Prepare your heart and mind for what the Lord wants to do through you through prayer, persistence and continuous consecration.I have no doubt the Lord is going to do the miraculous in your life. “And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up.. Confess your faults one to another, that ye may be healed, The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:15-16
We are always so fascinated by pearls and jewel, anything that shines, sparkles and glitters! What if we all got excited about how much we each sparkle from the inside out, imagine what a finesse life we would each live. I encourage you to be a radiant pearl from deep within as you write the gifts and talents you want to offer to Jesus this day. Go ahead, what are you waiting for? Write each and every one of them. Offer it to the King in prayer.

6. Anointed Pearl
Let the Anointing stir you to settle for nothing less than God’s best!
“And, behold, a woman in the city, which was a sinner, when she knew that Jesus sat at meat in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster box of ointment, and stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet, and anointed them with ointment.” Luke 7:37-38 Whether you are longing for love, peace or for God to use you mightily for His kingdom, you have to be willing to do more, make sacrifices, give more of yourself to the sake of Christ. This woman in Luke, cast aside and called a sinner didn’t let the name-calling or others stop her from doing what was right, worshipful and her heart to honor Jesus. She knew who Jesus was, the healer, the lover, the forgiver and she knew who she was, a sinner. Yet she humbly went before the Lord, brought a gift of ointment, wept, washed His feet with her tears and anointed them with the gift she brought with her for that purpose. She wasn’t so caught up in how radical she would look to the world but desired one thing, to worship the Lord with all she had. Truly, through the grace of God I accomplished all I set out to do and more while matriculating through Spelman College. I even met the love of my life and I am married to him today because I sought the Lord and made this move.
Anointed Pearl cont.. All these experiences have given birth to a new vision, all of which are in progress. There is more that the Lord wants to do for you and through you when he anoints you. The Lord has taken me from a mighty long way and I have so much further to go. We all have a place the Lord wants to take us in Him if we will only seek earnestly after him and surrender.
Let’s celebrate the fact that Jesus is an on-time God and He is the God of today, yesterday and forevermore! As He did for this woman, He will do that and more for you when you approach Him with your all. Oh, how I love this man named Jesus, not only because He first loved me but also because of Who He is! A WAY-MAKER!!! When you pour out all you have to the Lord, He will anoint you and all that you desire to do for Him. If your desire is to be a blessing to your family, your community, your world then offer it to Him, but don’t let it stop there. Proceed with your labor of love to see His will be done in your life and others. As this woman with her alabaster box went down in history, you can and will make a difference as God anoints you to go forth & make your mark for the King. “And he said to the woman, Thy faith hath saved thee; go in peace.” Luke 7:50
7. Compassionate Pearl
How can you commit to a greater cause?
The most recent lesson Jesus taught me“Whatsoever your hand findeth to do, do it with all your might.” ~ Ecclesiastes 9:10 Even the simplest things need to be done in God’s kingdom. Your home church needs you and so do the elders in your local nursing homes. The children in the local children’s home and the orphans abroad in a distant land you’ve never been to need you. You can reach those abroad through prayer, thoughts and your own personal investment, yes you!Be committed to a cause. It may seem random to some, but the Lord places desires in our hearts for a reason. He knows what He is doing and why. The ways in which He will accomplish and meet a great need is through us, His daughters and sons, His children. We as Christians have that responsibility to live as Christ did with compassion for the lost, hungry, hurting and those in need. A portion of the proceeds from this book will go towards providing opportunities to connect Girls & Guys to students abroad and it will go towards Girls & Guys Organized for Anointed Living. We implore you to find a way to connect with your community today. Give back; invest in the life of someone younger, someone distant, and simply someone who needs you to show you care. “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of the least of these, you did it unto Me.” Matthew 25:40
Journal
I encourage you to read and engage with the story of the woman who anointed Jesus’ feet with oil. What do you see and how does this speak to you about how you can honor Christ as he anoints you for a specific purpose. What might your worship look like? Write the Words He will say to you after you’ve poured your all to Him in worship.
