App The Bus

The offcial MyCiTi app, introduced to the public last year, have become a reliable source of commute planning and real time information for locals and travelers along Cape Towns’ Atlantic Seaboard. It is the perfect companion to the full, printed, MyCiTi map, available by Hello Cape Town on the Go. Once you fgured out you destination and route number you can simply and quickly fnd the next bus due to arrive to the station near you.

From Big Bay and Bloubergstrand all the way to Hout Bay, including all the routes in the inner city. From landing at the airport all the way to our wonderful Clifton and Camps Bay beaches, you can now top up your card and get everywhere safely and hustle free.

MyCiTi app users make use of the personal planning tools to map out their journey; search for timetables and buses; calculate their trip fare; and, those with Android phones, are able to check their card balance. An aspect that has proved to be very helpful, especially to those who have time-sensitive schedules, are the live updates and notifcations relating to timetables; routes or news alerts while they are travelling. When passengers view the bus timetables on the app, the location of buses are tracked and the scheduled times are updated with more reliable estimates of when each bus is due to arrive.
