MOUNTAIN BIKING The Braamfontein Spruit is one of the most popular mountain biking trails in the country. It’s a greenbelt in the middle of a city and is 60km long, but don’t worry – it’s an easy to moderate level trail. The trail starts in Melville Koppies AKA jacaranda central and runs all the way through to Paulshof. It also joins up with paths from various other points along the route, namely Albert’s Farm, Emmarentia, Delta Park, The Sandton Field and Study Centre in Parkmore, Sandton Field, Riverside and Bryanston Drive. For safety reasons, it’s recommended that you ride in groups of at least four.
