They also have fresh fruit and vegetables available by the box – but take note that only five boxes are available daily so pre-ordering is encouraged. The best news is that you can still order their boutique wines from their online platform, have them delivered to the bar and pick them up with your bi-weekly haul! DW Eleven-13: Chef Marthinus Ferreira is bringing the fine dining fare that his popular restaurant in Dunkeld West is known for to the comfort of your home. The roast chicken and lamb shoulder are both accompanied by potatoes, confit beets, carrots and gravy, and are made to serve four people. There’s also pumpkin soup with homemade bread, which makes for a great starter for your meal. Pre-orders are essential – the restaurant needs at least 24 hours’ notice and you’ll need to collect your order from the restaurant. A delivery service is said to be coming soon. Glenda’s: This much-loved seasonal restaurant and café in Hyde Park is letting customers order most of their menu items for delivery. From chefowner Glenda Lederle’s coronation chicken salad and her lamb and pea pie with gravy to Sunday roasts and cakes, one of the staff will personally deliver your order if you live in the area – otherwise you can order for collection. Lexi’s Healthy Eatery: Joburg’s favourite healthy eatery is making it easy to continue eating vegan and refined sugar free. Chef and owner, Lexi Monzeglio is whipping up freezer meals made for one, two or four people – think black rice risotto, jalapeño mac ‘n cheese, shepherd’s pie, vegetable korma, chickpea and quinoa ragu. Sotto Sopra: Brand-new Italian restaurant on Keyes Art Mile in Rosebank, Sotto Sopra is offering a ‘drive-thru’, whereby you simply call and collect curbside, and pay using a sanitised card machine. Famiglia meals include a whole roast chicken, lasagna, melanzane alla parmigiana and spinach and ricotta lasagna and are made to serve two or four people. You can also order any of their normal menu items to go – there’s a variety of authentic Italian salads, antipasti, pastas, pizzas and desserts. Sin + Tax: The master mixologists at Joburg’s only speakeasy bar in Parkwood have brought out a range of cocktails for you to swig at home. They’ve created a range of premium bottled cocktails than require nothing more than a pour, stir and garnish such as the Cape Old Fashioned – a blend of Cape brandy, wild honey and fynbos bitters.
