Blended Learning* 50/50 Instructional Model

A formal education program in which a student learns: • at least in part through online learning, with some element of student control over time, place, path, and/or space while in the classroom; • at least in part through teacher facilitated, with teacher control over time, place, path and/or space while in the classroom; • Within a course or subject as part of an integrated learning experience. *Additional information about blended learning can be found here.

Students will experience:

• Whole Group/Small

Group/Individualized learning in a blended learning environment

• Synchronous and

asynchronous instruction during instructional learning blocks

• Integrated online learning

with time, path and pace determined collaboratively by student and teacher.

Live Instruction (Synchronous) 5 Full Days In School

Student Schedule Each Day K-12: 5 Full Days In School EVERY Monday-Friday ELEM 9:05-3:35 MS 8:30-2:45 HS 7:30-2:10 PK: 4 Full Days In School EVERY Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Synchronous learning is when classes occur at a set timeframe and schedule with live teacher directed instruction. Independent/Collaborative Learning (Asynchronous) Integrated into students onsite learning days as part of our blended learning model. Asynchronous learning is when students engage in learning tasks/projects within a designated time during the onsite instructional block.

Attendance

The following platforms will be used throughout the school day as part of our blended learning model. All online learning will be through this hub. PK-4: Seesaw 5-12: Google Classroom

Students will be assessed using paper and online tools.

Grading Students will receive traditional grades to communicate mastery of skills and growth over time. MS and HS grades will be updated every two weeks in Infinite Campus.

Learning Hub Communication Students will communicate with teachers via the Learning Hub.
