About the Author Dr. Garth Rosell (BA, Wheaton College; MDiv, ThM, Princeton Theological Seminary; and PhD, University of Minnesota) is Senior Research Professor of Church History at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in South Hamilton, Massachusetts. He retired in 2015 after serving at the seminary for thirty-seven years, during which time he also served as the director of the Ockenga Institute. Dr. Rosell is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA), has authored a number of books and ministry resources, and has published many scholarly reviews and articles in academic journals. His publications include Commending the Faith, The Surprising Work of God, and The Memoirs of Charles G. Finney.
