Have you ever heard the saying, “A lot of different flowers make a bouquet?” I think about this saying when I look at the Henry County Chamber of Commerce and businesses in Henry County. What a beautiful bouquet of diverse businesses and people make up our community. Here at the Chamber, we understand the importance of diversity and making sure that everyone has a seat at our table.

Christy Chewning, 2020 Chair of Henry County Chamber of Commerce
One of our new initiatives for 2020 is a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. Our new committee will help guide us in understanding how Henry County can PROSPER by embracing diversity in our business community and workplace. Diversity includes men and women of all ages and interests, ethnic backgrounds and communities, as well as businesses of many types and sizes. The Chamber wants to be the place for all these perspectives to find a voice. We strive to bring you programs that inform and educate, just like the Women’s Empowerment Summit held this month. If you are interested in serving on this committee or any other committee, please contact the Chamber office. March is the month where we begin to see the beautiful flowers for our bouquet bloom. Won’t you come bloom with us?
