Impact of Verizon iPhone on Android User – Is the Android Dream Run Over? This February, Verizon brought the iPhone to its doorsteps. The impact of Verizon iPhone on Android user has since then began in earnest and has reached a limit where surveys have begun saying positively that Android market might actually be falling down. Before this incident, Android market shared about 1520 percent of the smartphone buyers. Now where this has fallen is not exactly known or predicted, but the fall is huge enough to create a massive impact on the Android market. The war between Android smartphones, like Samsung, HTC and more and the iPhones has always raged. With Google Android smartphones being offered on Verizon, the war just became bigger. However, with the latest decision by Verizon to bring the iPhone on its plans, the whole equations change. Popular surveys have been conducted on the buyers and mostly point to the fact that the success of Android phones on Verizon network was mostly because there was no iPhone being offered. The iPhone on Verizon has come in the CDMA version which actually is not that great considering AT&T. However, people are still ready to move or shift to iPhone on Verizon. A lot of factors have been cited. Some people feel the iPhone has a great interface, while some say they are going for the iPhone because of the multimedia features. Many cite the fact that the iPhone has a powerful and more featured browsing, email, IM and network features. There are others who say they would like to get the iPhone on Verizon for the camera that it has. Survey has pointed out that not only the Android market but the BlackBerry market too might get affected because of the decision. The Verizon iPhone has data plans that are quite good – because only Verizon offers unlimited data plans as of now. The voice plans too are quite good and on an equalfooting with the only other provider of iPhone – AT&T. The Android smartphones, especiall the Google S, might have already realized that these were bought only because of lack of options for the customers. Not that the Android smartphones are underperformers, but the fact that the iPhone simply beats them all makes it a wonder smartphone to be had no matter what.
