A WORD FROM THE EDITOR! Hey Tx!-ians!

Welcome to Tx! Mag #28 - a special edition funded as part of the Youth At Risk program - a youth-focused hep C prevention program, now finished, run by Hepatitis NSW. Youth at Risk helped youth workers to engage young people around issues of injecting drug use and hep C. The Youth at Risk training package was developed as a partnership between the HIV and Related Programs Unit and Youth Health Program of South East Sydney Local Health District. This issue has stories that look at two groups of young people out to have a fun time... but have they thought about the risk of hep C? In A Fine Line, Morgan and her school friends get a group tattoo from the local artist "Tattoo Guy". Even though he seems like he's running a clean shop from his garage there's a surprise waiting for them in the ink. Not Again sees Blake starting treatment for hep C on the eve of his 21st birthday. He's keen to make sure that he and his girlfriend and friends have a safe celebration - that there's no risk of hep C transmission - even if his two best mates can't see what all the fuss is about. Also, check out our puzzles and don't forget to send in the survey form for a chance to win a $100 voucher. Cheers! Grace Tx! Mag Ed Aside from Hepatitis NSW editorial content, views expressed in this magazine or flyers enclosed with it are not necessarily those of Hepatitis NSW or the organisations with whom we collaborate. Neither are such views necessarily those of our funding bodies. Tx! Mag does not promote or condone the use of illicit drugs. Rather, it seeks to provide accurate information that will help people who already use drugs to reduce risks and make safer choices. Nothing in this magazine should be taken as recommending drug use.

Hepatitis NSW is proud to acknowledge Aboriginal people as the traditional owners and custodians of our lands and waters.

HE Youth At Risk Project gave young people across NSW a great opportunity to flex their creative muscles... designing and then painting huge local murals that were not just stunning to look at but which also had important hep C prevention and cure messages for everyone in the area. Left: This eyecatching mural was painted by young people in far west NSW, at Wings, Maari Ma Health Aboriginal Corporation. Below: Young people at the Blacktown Youth Services Association designed and then painted this massive public mural.
