St. Mary’s Hospital 1800 E. Lake Shore Dr., Decatur 464-2972 www.stmarysdecatur.com Contact: Robin Walters, Director Marketing and Community Relations

We are committed to providing exceptional care for all, and many leading national organizations have recognized our efforts through accreditations and top-notch rankings. • St. Mary’s Hospital is an accredited hospital by The Joint Commission, an independent, non-profit organization that is recognized nationwide as the symbol for hospital quality. • We are accredited as a Primary Stroke Center by the Joint Commission. This distinction means that we provide quality care to meet the unique needs of stroke patients, thereby improving patient outcomes1. • We have advanced certification in Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease from the Joint Commission and the American Lung Association. • St. Mary’s is home to the Best Doctors in America for neuro-surgery with twicenamed Dr. Terrence Pencek. • St. Mary’s Advanced Rehabilitation Center is Macon County’s only accredited inpatient rehab center. • We are home to Macon County’s only certified pediatric emergency department which means we use best practices to consistently deliver the right care at the right time for our pediatric patients. • St. Mary’s has five-star rankings for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, total knee replacement, total hip replacement and hip fracture repair from a leading health care rating organization. Five-star rankings mean that the care provided results in better than expected outcomes for patients seeking treatment in those areas

Exceptionally Trained Physicians and Staff Exceptional Facilities St. Mary’s believes that exceptional care involves more than just medicines and machines; however, we know that modern facilities and state-of-the-art equipment are still important. • That’s why we’re enhancing our campus through a $70 million development project. With this expansion, we’ll transform our emergency department and expand other units allowing us to meet the changing health care needs of patients and families, as well as physicians and other clinicians. • St. Mary’s is the only hospital in Decatur where you’ll be diagnosed, interventionally treated and supervised throughout your recovery by a Prairie Heart Institute doctor. • Our team of specialists have studied with some of the best minds in medicine and have years of experience in brain surgery spine procedures- even full foot and ankle reconstruction. • We have state-of-the-art laparoscopic surgery suites which allow surgeons to use advanced techniques that give patients a shorter hospital stay and faster recovery process. • Our hospital features quiet private rooms, many with picturesque views of Lake Decatur, and food service that our patients rate as excellent. By focusing on details like quiet rooms and good food, we facilitate our patients’ healing process by nourishing their bodies and spirits.

St. Mary’s is full of people who are passionate about putting the latest medical advances to work for the people of central Illinois. Like scientists, our medical team constantly challenges the status quo, searching for the best possible way to treat each and every patient. This means we’re continually examining and thoroughly testing the newest research before putting it to practical use––all to ensure you’re receiving the best medical care possible. • All of our physicians are highly trained, many with Board certification and Fellowship training. Board-certified physicians have demonstrated exceptional expertise in a medical specialty through a rigorous process of testing and peer evaluation. Fellowship-trained physicians have completed an additional period of training after their residency to gain further expertise and experience within a medical specialty. Exceptionally Low Infection Rates We understand that you come to our hospital with the expectation to get better, not to get sick with a hospital-acquired infection. That’s why we’re so proud of our exceptionally low rate of hospital-acquired infections. • The national average of a patient acquired infection from the hospital setting is five to 10-percent. In 2009, St. Mary’s infection rate was 0.3-percent and we have maintained this low rate for the last three years. This means it’s highly unlikely you will get sick with a new infection while hospitalized at St. Mary’s. Proclaiming God’s healing presence through our exceptional health care services.

DAVIDZACH FUTURIST What can we expect our world, our nation and even our city of Decatur to look like in 10 years? What about in 30 years? What will happen to factories? (Some of them will end up in your back bedroom.) What about schools? (Why are educational policies almost always younger than the children?) Why do so called futuristic things get outdated so quickly? Why do some old things always seem to endure? Our speaker for the May breakfast will be talking about our future as well as our past. What have we held onto? What have we forgotten that needs to be reclaimed? David Zach is trained as a futurist — and actually has a master’s degree in Studies of the Future from the University of Houston Clear Lake. He's spoken to over 1,400 audiences throughout North America and Europe offering fascinating insights on the personal and professional impact of strategic trends as well as what he calls strategic traditions. For this futurist, the past is a valuable part of the future. Dave previously worked at Johnson Controls and Northwestern Mutual Life in the roles of environmental scanning and strategic planning. He also taught Future Studies in the School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Prepare to be entertained and educated. His talk on trends and traditions will leave you both quiet in your own thoughts and engaged in some of the most interesting conversations you've had in years.

WAND StormCenter 17 is the NBC affiliate serving Central Illinois and Western Indiana. Over the years we have become the Weather Authority in Central Illinois providing viewers with complete, accurate and timely coverage of weather that affects their daily routine. We have been serving the viewers of Central Illinois since 1953 when we went on the air as WTVP, at 4 p.m. on August 16, 1953. Programming was limited and we were on the air from 5 to 11 p.m. WTVP was one of the original 13 ABC affiliates in the country. Over the years programs have come and gone. Early programs consisted of Ted Mack’s Original Amateur Hour, Ozzie and Harriet, Chevrolet Showroom, Romper Room, Pat Boone and many more. WTVP became WAND in 1964 and started broadcasting in color in 1966. In 1994 Doppler radar was installed on the roof of the station, enabling us to show live Doppler radar. In 2001 we added a second channel, dedicated solely to weather. This is still the only channel dedicated to weather in Central Illinois. On September 5, 2005, WAND became an NBC affiliate after 52 years with ABC. This was due to contracts with ABC and NBC ending and the affiliate stations switching to new networks. In May 2002, we flipped the switch and began airing on the digital tier and in June of 2010 we began local newscasts in high definition. We are the only broadcast network in Central Illinois to obtain this milestone. WAND StormCenter 17 provides viewers quality NBC programming, syndicated shows such as The Doctors, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune, news and weather. You can stay informed with the number one morning news NBC TODAY, number one evening news, NBC Nightly News, and our own news team. StormCenter 17 has invested in the latest equipment, software, has trusted meteorologists to keep you informed of severe weather and just if you want to know if the sun is going to shine. Stop by Booths C3 and C4 to see StormCenter 17’s StormRunner. Our live weather vehicle takes our meteorologists into the storm providing first hand reports and data. Peerless Cleaning 1295 N. 20th St., Decatur 423-7703 | www.peerlessrestoration.com Contact: Debbie Whitney, Dry Cleaning Plant Manager Please take a moment to describe your business:

The evening format allows students to juggle work, family, and education. Adult students enjoy the camaraderie of their fellow classmates and a close, interactive relationship with the faculty. Millikin provides support services to help students be successful, including academic advising, tutoring at the writing or math centers, and research support from the library. Most students are able to be full-time students through PACE’s unique format, thus helping to achieve their educational goals quickly.

Peerless Cleaners, Inc. has been serving the cleaning and restoration needs of Central Illinois since 1945. We have built our reputation on world class service, integrity and commitment to excellence. We are proud to have earned the trust of home owners, business owners and insurance professionals and were recently honored to receive the Herald and Review Readers’ Choice Award, for the second year in a row, for dry cleaning.

Why should business professionals come to see your booth at the Expo?

We have a state of the art dry cleaning and laundry facility on the corner of Monroe and Eldorado Street with counter service, free pickup and delivery service as well as garment restoration. We also operate a cleaning and restoration division in Decatur and Springfield providing carpet cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, air duct cleaning, mold remediation and trauma scene recovery. Caring for our customers…caring for our community.

Anyone thinking of completing a bachelor’s degree should stop by the PACE booth to speak to our admission counselor about the program and the application process. Because of the wide range of majors offered, most adults will find a major that is suitable for their career goals. Adults consider returning to school to earn a degree for various reasons: advancing in their current career, switching to a new career, or fulfilling personal goals. The PACE program offers a wonderful option to complete a degree locally. Millikin has long been recognized for academic excellence, and area employers like to hire Millikin graduates. Eighty-seven-percent of Millikin University graduates work in the Central Illinois area.

What services do you provide customers?

Why should business professionals come to see your booth at the Expo? To obtain information on the care and maintenance of quality garments and other textiles; to gain awareness of the appropriate actions to take when tragedy strikes; and to meet some of our knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Caring for our Customers... Caring for our Community... Because so much is riding on the work we do. Your friendly drycleaner, as well as your #1 solution for Fire, Garment and Water Restoration Services.

community, city and Macon County. The companies can contribute to the community with out spending any extra monies. If their waste goes into the landfill in Macon County the tipping fees go to the Macon County funds. Those funds pay for recycling and environmental programming without utilizing taxpayer dollars. Veolia has setup recycling at the women’s correctional facility, Richland Community College and Progress City at no cost to the customer. Veolia also partners with Macon County Environmental Management Department, funded with landfill tipping fees and state grants, to provide recycling containers around the county to allow convenient recycling for customers and residents. In addition, the Macon County Board has contracted BLH Computers to allow free electronic recycling for all Macon County residents paid for through tipping fees. I plan to convince the companies that it is everyone’s best interest to use the Veolia ES Valley View Landfill for the good of the entire community.
