Open daily, 10 a.m. to dusk Chinese fu dogs guard the entrance to the Japanese-style garden in Scovill Park, originally part of the Scovill family estate. Its greenery, rocks, sand and water are ornamented with oriental sculpture and a graceful sod bridge. Nearby stands a gazebo, surrounded by a formal flower garden. Free.

SHOPPING Shopping in Decatur, Forsyth and Mount Zion is an enjoyable experience for the whole family. A variety of shops, from department stores to small boutiques, will tempt one and all. Visit a few retailers today, and take home just what you were searching for. The downtown area is always a good place to start, and Decatur is no exception. You can browse the unique boutiques and shops, and enjoy an
