Celebrate Your Wealth!

Celebrate Your Wealth! Wealth doesn’t seem to have a big impact on overall wellbeing, in fact, giving things away seems to be one of the things that makes people happy. It seems like the old saying “Money can’t buy happiness” really is true, so stop worrying about getting rich, learn to celebrate your wealth, and you’ll find yourself on the path to life-long wellbeing. Create and Enjoy New Adventures If you are struggling to survive, you probably won’t have the time or money to simply have fun. Your time and energy will be soaked up in the pursuit of survival. But if you have built a credible investment portfolio, it can be a sign that it’s time to kick back and relax. Everything we do in life of a financial nature should carry the goal of improving our quality of life. Right now is an excellent time to begin having some adventures in your life. It could involve travel, taking on challenging new hobbies, or even creating an entirely new lifestyle — one you’ve only dreamed of in the past. Balance Building Wealth with Living a Fulfilled Life When people build wealth, they can become myopic. As they acquire more money, their vision can narrow and they can lose sight of everything else, especially the bigger picture. They can become so involved in getting rich that all they think about is making money and it’s all they want to do. So they devote their time to building fortunes, which take away from other aspects of their lives. They become obsessive and spend less time at home with their families. Show your children how to enjoy balanced lives. Let them see your example of how to build wealth and enjoy their lives while they’re building it. Invest in Relationships Don’t invest in things. Invest in people. Invest your time in what is most important to you. Time is frequently more important than money, especially when you can spend it with your family and friends and doing what you love. As you build your financial health, enjoy it. Reward yourself for working hard, sacrificing and living responsibly. Don’t be extravagant and throw your money away, but find a happy balance between building wealth and enjoying some of what your success can buy. Don’t put off enjoying life until you retire. You may never reach that point. Spend time with your family while they’re still living at home. Your time and experiences together will forge strong bonds and memories that they will pass on to their kids. If God gives a man wealth and property and lets him enjoy them, he should be grateful and enjoy what he has worked for. It is a gift from God.
