Winemaking is a form of expression that reflects a culture. The Balkans has a long history of wine culture, a history that should be promoted to make the region competitive with other wineproducing regions. The goal of this paper is to investigate the wine industry's capacity to develop tourism as a component of regional development progress through cocreative experiences that combine creative, cultural, and gastronomyrelated experiences with wine tourism. This way, reviewing the wine tourism situation and development in the Balkans, taking into account the geographical, linguistic, and historical, and most importantly viticultural similarities
