Conditions of Sale to Purchasers 1. Subject to the sole discretion of the Auctioneer, the highest bidder to be the purchaser, and if any dispute arises between two or more bidders, the dispute may be settled by the Auctioneer, or the lot so in question may immediately be put up and resold. 2. No person shall advance less than 20% on the proceeding bid. The Auctioneer reserving the right to control the bidding. 3. The Auctioneer does not guarantee the accuracy or correct description of any lot or the genuineness or authenticity of any such lot. The Auctioneer accepts no responsibility for any fault or defects in any lot and makes no other warrantee whatsoever. 4. The purchasers to give their names and places of abode, and pay down a payment of 20% of the purchase price, or more in part payment. 5. Purchasers to pay 15% auction fees exclusive of Value Added Taxation (VAT). VAT will be charged on those fees at the standard rate (currently 23%) 6. Payments must be made either by cash, bank draft, credit card or debit card. N.B An additional charge of 2% will be applied to all credit card payments. 7. All lots purchased at auction must be paid for and taken away, whether genuine or authentic, or not, with all fault and errors at the buyers expense and risk one hour from the close of sale and no later than 11 am the following day, or such time as directed by the Auctioneer at the time of sale. 8. In the event that the purchaser does not, for whatever reason, collect any purchases made at the auction within the time limits specified in the conditions of sale, the Auctioneer may apply a storage charge to the account. Storage will be charged at the rate of 1% (exclusive of VAT) of the total invoice value per working day. 9. In the event that an electrical and/or mechanical item is not in a safe working condition the purchaser may return it to the Auctioneer and obtain a refund of the purchase price no later than 12pm on the Tuesday immediately following the day of sale. The Auctioneer accepts no liability for any damages, injury or other expenses incurred by such an item. If any fault in such an item is evident at the time of sale the purchaser shall accept all liability for the item. 10. If any deficiency shall arise in quantity or from any cause, the Auctioneer shall be unable to deliver any lot or portion of a lot, then, in such case, the purchaser shall accept compensation for the same to be made in proportion to the purchase money for the whole lot. 11. No delivery of purchases will be given while the auction is in progress.
