God’s Miraculous Provision for Mr. Algie Spears

It is the heart of God to send Jesus, His Son to seek and save the lost. The all powerful, allmighty God stoop down from heaven to earth to pay the penalty required by sin which is death(Rom 6:23) then seek every lost . We (humanity in its fallen state because of inherited sin) did not seek God because we are dead(Eph 2:1). We do not have the capacity, capability to make an effort to seek God. It was God who stoop down into the fall- en world to pay for our sin so that we may be saved from the eternal consequence of it(sin).

The Father LAID UPON HIM ( Jesus) the iniquity of us all (Isaiah 53:6 last part). so that we may become the righteousness of God (2 Cor 5:21). In this light, we go BEYOND BORDERS to do the works Jesus starter.. to share the good news of salvation to all humanity- that there is God's way of salvation (John 14:6, Acts 4:12), to carry on Luke 19:10-- seeking the lost for God.

We also did daily morning devotions to enrich the spiritual growth of all missionaries and short seminars by night to equip the.workers of the partnering churches. And ,we believe that there has been great rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one (there were over a thousand) sinner who repents.( Luke 15:10).

Mr. Algie Spears came to Turn Around Village in December of 2022, just in time for Christmas!! Algie had served 41 years of a 99-year sentence for armed robbery. Scheduled to be released under a special project to reduce the incarceration level here in Louisiana, the Baton Rouge Parole project, working with the Governor’s office, could not find adequate housing for Mr. Algie. Everything was a go except his “residence plan.” Having been quite in volved in the Chapel

Services in the prison, Algie Spears had become a man of great faith. Somehow, God revealed Turn Around Village and its reentry operations to the District Attorney’s Office in New Orleans and He made it all happen! Algie begins his day with a Bible Study, loves to work Bible-themed crossword puzzles, and watches DVDs from CBN!! His favorite activity is making the short walk from Turn Around Village to The First Church for services on Sunday mornings.

Now, Algie Spears is loving his new home at Turn Around Village, he has been approved for the SNAP food benefit program, his Social Security has begun to flow (he is 77years old) he has been approved for Medicare and Medicaid, and has been approved for SSI another form of supplemental social security and, perhaps most of all, loves mowing the lawn with the John Deere lawn tractor! God is a great provider!
