In this portfolio I show some of my
skills through selective works. This work is a combination of architecture, interior design, fashion design, illustration, drawing, hand rendering and graphic skills, and also demonstrates computer and hand skills. I selected projects that can reflect some of my sense toward space as in building or on paper. I hope you will enjoy my work collection.
Simple, bright, and straight are three
words which need to be combined with the saying “Forms follow function”. Humans live in their mothers’ wombs for nine months, where the form of the mother’s womb follows the function for life to grow. Designers need to create a human world with more simplicity, brightness, and straightness, where it is all combined with forms following function.

DESIGN CONCEPT
Designing for a flamenco academy is a challenging job but I
have enjoyed every bit of it. Learning about the history of that dance and what it represents is exciting. It is vivid of movement and expression. The design is inspired from many things like the dance movement, fashion and flower. The design implied these feelings and features into five parts. Ground level is for the services and vertical movement. One lifted floor contains four buildings to save the building from flood. First is the flamenco school which contains two floors. The second building is the flamenco auditorium, which contains of two floors. Third is a retail area to add some flavor to the project. Last is a show room that can be used for the academy or anything else. Combining those five parts together presents the project.

PROJECT STATEMENT
Dwellers of Hunter Army Airfield are projected to
move away from their location in the city of Savannah. This big change in the area required major consideration for the City, such as redesigning the former airfield to make it more compatible and connected to the urban context. Urban design is both an art and science that brings others together in order to provide beautiful spaces for everyone in the city. A place without history and vision is certainly a place without identity. Reflecting on this as a motive for providing accessible and “open� urban spaces, with quality of life and walkability at its core, is the premise of this urban design concept. Accessible distance is the name of the project. We wanted to create a site that will help connect the east and the west side; the north and the south side of the project together. We also help connect the neighborhood together by shortening the interior distances of the project.

MASTER PLAN
Taking into account existing
environmental conditions, such as wetlands and vegetation, as well as amenities such as the existing golf course, provided a base for this urban design proposal. Green space was incorporated throughout the project in the form of parks and open space inspired by Forsyth Park, downtown Savannah’s treasured urban oasis. Bringing the rail lines into the site allows for both the site and its adjacent industrial context to form a unique and dynamic relationship. Creating a buffer zone around the project helps decrease the noise coming from the main road surrounding it. We decided to expand the surrounding amenities, such as Savannah Tech, and use it to the best of the project. Mixing education with residential within the project is key to a lively community. The vision of a neighborhood with full services is central to the design of stronger community and sense of place as well as strengthening the connections between them. Providing a variety of paths leading to the core of the site for the convenience of the users whether by foot, bicycle, or vehicle promotes both connectivity and accessibility. Hierarchy of roadway transportation as one moved further into the site helps to slow traffic and make for a safer environment.

Clint came to me wondering if he can build his dream home in a
modern but not “traditional cubicle way” because most of the houses in Riyadh have lost their identity, and they are almost one cube shape. I took the cubic shape and started to play with it until I manged to shape the final form of the house in modern way but not in the “traditional cubicle way”.

DESIGN CONCEPT
Clint came to me wondering if we can build on the foot of
the mountain next to his mansion a mosque that is not expensive but beautiful, a mosque not traditionally designed but with traditional character, a mosque that is a mix of modernity and unique, a mix of simple and elegant, that led me into my design.

I worked as team member on both Alhabib hospitals, Alhabib
hospital in Alryan district and Alhabib hospital in Altakasosi district. I worked in the program team and on the facades design team in 2007 when I worked at Dar Altasamim Almemariah. I am showing exterior images of both the projects because this is what I can show due to client privacy.

DESIGN CONCEPT
In this environmental studio I designed a small VIP branch for
Bank Alblad. The project had to be environmental friendly. I used wind tower, solar system and a double glass garden. Bank Alblad is a traditional style bank. Using this information I started designing my project so each element could have double use, both environmental and traditional. The main bank entrance is a wind tower that took its design from Almasmaic Palace, the most traditional building in Saudi Arabia. The slope in the roof of the project is meant to be directed to the sun where the solar system is placed.

DESIGN CONCEPT
This studio design is for Miss Vanderkamp, a tile restoration
artist who collects antique door knobs, mostly silver with some set semiprecious stones. She plays cello with a chamber music group. She has a three tiny poodles and a wheel chair bound brother who visits her for 2-3 months a year. She likes gardening and has an entire wardrobe consisting of 100 pieces, every item custom made. The design was established on the facets she likes gardening, her brother’s need and her love of door knobs. I started the design by simplifying some door knobs and added in the middle of the project her gardening space so she can keep an eye on it. I tried to make the house simple and linear so her brother will not face any problem navigating through it with the support of ramps in both of her entries.

DESIGN CONCEPT
In my last year of my undergraduate program I decided to go
into the professional world by myself. Next Dimension is where I started through my small window of experience at that time which was about four years. I opened my business as an interior designer and contractor and then added real estate services. I had worked many architecture projects as a subcontractor. The main aspect for me was how to design an office with my small budget that still would be appalling to the clients.

DESIGN CONCEPT
This project is right next door to my office. This project wasn’t just
a design, it was job fishing too. It was a hard job convincing the owner to redecorate his shop although he did not need to. After I succeeded in getting his approval, he said I want it to be modern, simple and cost efficient.

ABOUT THIS RESEARCH
I remember as a child that my father stayed out of the house for
about two days trying to get us some water, all because some supply pipes were broken. This kind of disaster could have happened anywhere, anytime of the year but not in a desert-land environment. The research goes through showing water percentage through the world compared to Saudi Arabia, and more specifically to the city of Riyadh, my hometown. The city of Riyadh has a surprisingly good source of water which was ignored for a while. The recent attention given to this water source by the government as a primary water source for the city will be examined in this research and analysis.
