Ceiling Design Design Proposal 2018 Egypt
The concept for the interior design of “My Home furniture gallery features a luxurious, timeless and contemporary design to set it apart from the expected traditional style. We implemented our concept throughout the gallery by strategically integrating and blending elements and materials inspired by the coastal nature of the city, allocated altogether within a sequential experience to the gallery visitors. To translate the essence of this concept and augment its elegant appearance, our design incorporates parametrically designed and digitally fabricated timber structures and members that allow for a unique experiential movement throughout the different sections of the furniture gallery.

The project focuses on the importance of the Nile and highlights its great impact. The great river did not only shape the terrain and land but the effect extended to every part of the daily life, the museum symbolizes this by embracing wide variety of activities and experiences. The form itself reflects the powerful impact of the Nile and the forces it possess. The museum’s journey is designed to expose the visitors to contrasting experiences formed by the relationship between the structure and the ancient Nile, starting from spaces hosting human interaction with the Nile to complete isolation from its effect, reflecting the Nile’s role as a center of gravity that balances the universe elements and the diversity of the subsequent environment. The structure of the museum integrates with the surrounding environment whether natural or built, where the museum rests on the hill with the minimum footprint on nature leaving the landscape free and natural, adding another dimension to the human-Nile relationship.

Skyscraper Honorable mention - UDAAR Studio 2018 Dubai
The project aims to redefine the character of the long-practised logistics of skyscraper design in the city of Dubai, primarily through a socio-spatial prespective that incorporate concepts of the intrinsic interaction between the built infrastructure and society - historically adopted slolely in new urbanism - into the design logic of skyscraper. The premise is that a comprehensive inclusion of the intrinsic fabric of the urban infrastructure and societal aspects of such a universal and multi-cultural hub as Dubai would yeild a true reflection of these highly complex and dynamic interactions on skyscraper architecture in the city. By allowing for a holistic understanding of these interactions all over the city, we provide a general rule to devise formal languages of skyscraper design across different geographical locations in Dubai.

The design concept is derived from the divine universal message to mankind to stay on the right course, or “Istiqama as per Quranic teachings; to avoid all deviation from the straight path, to maintain the devoted submission to God, and to remain aligned along the footsteps of the righteous, in their convergent declaration of a noble cause, represented in two essential pillars of belief and conduct; believing in God then exercising straightforwardness. The essence of Istiqama is meant to let believers embark on a comprehensive journey, from basic belief in God, to conduct, exemplified in complying with His commands, and physically performing religious duties, to the ultimate spiritual ascension, embodied in the true nourishment of the heart and the utmost pleasure of being at closest contact to God.

The proposed redesign of the Dar Al-Uloum Library attempts to break the norm regarding library design and establishes the concept of the “fields of knowledge” for its visitors and for the community at large. Perceived as a perpetual and accumulative source of creativity, knowledge, and freedom of expression; a propeller and attractor for public knowledge exchange, we envision the campus in its totality as a vast field of crop circles and wells that is metaphorically amalgamated with a “cloud of knowledge” that transcends all the boundaries of incessant inquiry to shape new spaces of intellectual expression utilizing state-of-the-art methods and innovative technologies.

Housing Participation - UDAAR Studio 2017 Hong Kong
The proposal was for Pixel Size Housing competition in Hong Kong . This proposal explores the concept of relcaiming lost space using highly efficient and compact modular housing units that are combined to generate novel morphologies in hong kong’s extremely dense pixel-sized land plots. Rather than creating conventional and overly dense solutions, our approach captures and utilizes lost space - literally speaking - in a multi-dimensional and activity-based fashion through the act of space puncturing. By analyzing typical houses in the region in terms of efficient circulation and user behavior in 3D, spaces are optimized ; where valuable areas and volumes - originally evaluated as underutilized areas reclaimed as newly introduced functional spaces and urban voids.

The very first steps to elaborate on a driving concept for the project dependes fundamentally on a ubiquitous geometry found in almost the majority of sports i.e. Circle. The Circle inspires sports, it emphasizes itself as a basic geometrical source for tools and geometries of courts. The moment the ball engaged with the net is the explicit manifestation of the concept. The intended design was to depend upon a terrain-like single Surface to cover all the land-use. . The Hexagonal grid found in the net inspires the pattern generated on the designed Surface.

Lost Spaces are underused or unused spaces in our urban fabric , these buldings were highly significant in their early life but failed to win the fight against the changing needs of humans and their funcitons . It’s believed that every building has a story , every event that happens in the building or in it’s surroundings surely affects the building . To revive lost spaces you have to activate the power of the tales that lie within the walls and the bricks of the building’s memory . Using tales in making people relate to the bulding and tightening up the relationship between people and the buildings . Tales that you live into each day are never forgotton this is how the project targets reviving lost spaces .
