PRE-OPERATION CHECKS
WARNING The pre-operation check is very important prior to operating the vehicle. Always check the proper operation of critical controls, safety features and mechanical components before starting. If not done as specified here, severe injury or death might occur. Bring all safety equipment required by local laws.
Some of the following items may not have been previously covered in this guide, however they will be described in the MAINTENANCE or SPECIAL PROCEDURES section. Please refer to these portions to have more detailed information.
WARNING Engine should be off and the safety lanyard must always be removed from its switch prior to verifying any of the following. Only start craft once all items have been checked and operate properly. SUMMARY ITEM

Drain. Ensure plug is secured.

Inspect tightness of cables and retaining straps.
Main battery cut-off switch

Refill.

Verify fuel/oil system components.
Fire extinguisher
Inspect condition/mounting.

Safety lanyard/engine start/stop buttons
Check operation.
Mandatory safety boating equipment
Check operation.

Ensure they are closed and latched.
