General Information CAUTION: When performing the work described below, comply with the safety instructions in the relevant technical manuals.
IMPORTANT: When working on the hydraulic system, it is vital to observe the utmost cleanliness. IMPORTANT: Once all the component assemblies have been installed, do an operational check.
CAUTION: Support the tractor safely and remove the rear right wheel. CAUTION: If tests are carried out using the electrical multi-function lever, there is the risk of causing an accident, since the attachment being tested will move. Make sure that no one is in the range of movement of the implement! Make sure there is plenty of space for attachment to move. IMPORTANT: The tractor is equipped with a CAN bus system with 2 leads or with a CAN bus system with 4 leads.
IMPORTANT: After the electrically actuated multi-function lever and the SCO control unit have been installed, a calibration has to be performed, see Technical Manual, Diagnostics, Section 245. IMPORTANT: After installation of the E-ICV, the stepper motors need to be activated, assigned, and calibrated. NOTE: Always refer to the Technical Manual before installing, removing or adjusting components. NOTE: Tilt operator's cab. Refer to Section 90 in the Repair manual.
IMPORTANT: Before ordering the field kits for the electrical components, determine which CAN bus system the tractor is equipped with.

Tilting the Operator's Cab Upward Tilt the operator's cab upward: 1. Park the tractor on firm, level ground. LX1045831 —UN—03MAR11
Chock the oscillation stops of the front axle so that the axle no longer oscillates. Chock the front wheels to prevent the tractor from continuing to roll. Engage park lock. Cab suspension: CSC 022 - Relieve Pressure at Cab Suspension, see Diagnostics Manual, Section 245. CAUTION: When the cab suspension is relieved of pressure, the cab lowers. Crushing hazard, do not reach into the danger zone.
NOTE: If you plan on performing extensive work, such as replacing the transmission, you should also remove the left rear wheel.
2. Disconnect negative pole (A).
CAUTION: Chock the oscillation stops of the front axle so that the axle no longer oscillates. This stabilizes the tractor when the cab tilts.
CAUTION: Always be careful to observe the correct battery terminals. 3. Remove rear right wheel, see Machine-Specific Systems - Fenders, Front Wheels and Rear Wheels, Summary of References. Support the right, rear axle under the wheel flange.

Reinstall All Parts Removed from the Tractor In reverse order, re-install all the parts removed from the tractor. Install rear wheel and tighten wheel bolts to 500 Nm (370 lb-ft). Connect battery. Start the tractor and let the engine run for at least 2 minutes. Check the control valves and line joints for signs of leaks. Check the level of the transmission oil, and top up if necessary.
NOTE: Before starting the calibration, heat up the transmission oil to at least 40 °C (100 °F). CAUTION: If tests are carried out using the electrical multi-function lever, there is the risk of causing an accident, since the attachment being tested will move. For this reason, do NOT permit bystanders to come into range of the implement. Make sure there is plenty of space for the implement to move. IMPORTANT: Once all the component assemblies have been installed, do an operational check.
Download and program the software data files.
IMPORTANT: After installation of the E-ICV, the stepper motors need to be activated, assigned, and calibrated. See Section 245 in the Diagnostics Technical Manual.
Calibrate the multi-function lever and the independent control valves (E-ICVs).
