FAMILY SWIM #100 Swimming is a sport that is good for people of all ages. It’s fun, easy and an ideal activity that all members of the family can do together. No instruction or activity is planned. The following rules apply: (1) Children may not attend without their own parent. (2) No family or friend substitutions are permitted. (3) A child who is less than 4’6” must be attended by a parent at all times. (4) Flotation devices are not permitted. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. Tuesdays and Thursdays – Begins June 26 for10 sessions – Ends August 2 Times 3:15 PM – 4:15 PM Fee: $80.00
LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102 This course follows the progression of the American Red Cross swim levels 1-6. Repeat swimmers pick up where they left off, while new swimmers are tested on the first day for proper placement. Please reserve your space in advance registering by mail or during in-person registration, OR e-mail mkretzer@hhh.k12.ny.us prior to the start date. The fees are increased for registrants who have not reserved their spot prior to the first day of class. The age requirement for this class is 5 years old by June 25th. AMERICAN RED CROSS WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD MODULE #115 This course is suitable for those who have a current LFT/1st Aid/CPR/AED certification and would like ARC certification to work at a non-surf waterfront facility. A prerequisite swim test and validation of the participants’ current ARC certifications will be conducted at the first class session. During the course participants will learn skills specific to non-surf beach facilities. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certification. Bring whistle, current certifications, bathing suit and $35 for ARC certification cards to first class. Monday through Friday Begins June 25 through June 29 (5 days) Time: 6:45 PM - 10 PM (attendance at all class sessions is required) Location: HHH HS West and Town of Huntington Beach (TBD). You will be contacted prior to the start of the class with an exact schedule of times and locations to meet. Beach access is limited due to weather and tides. ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103 For adults of any ability level, from beginner to lap swimmer, you will fit right in. This class is very informal and students are able to go at their own pace. SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104 This course will cover the basics of springboard diving: approach, hurdle, take-off, flight and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniques and form. In addition, all five groups of dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. The course will be divided into beginner and advanced groups. Advancement through the levels can be made on a class-by-class basis. SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106 This is an opportunity for our district senior residents to make use of the Natatorium. Showers, dressing rooms, lockers and lifeguards are provided. There is a maximum enrollment of 75. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Begins June 25 for 15 sessions – Ends August 3 Time: 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM Fee: $30.00 FOR SUMMER ONLY Annual fee in the fall includes winter and summer.

LIFEGUARD/FIRST AID/CPR/AED REVIEW COURSE #110 (American Red Cross Recertification) This course is suitable for those who have a current LGT/ 1st Aid/CPR/AED certification that requires renewal.
