SEPTEMBER OCTOBER Wells Scholar Program: Indiana University Bloomington The Wells Scholarship pays the full cost of attendance for four years of any undergraduate program offered at Indiana University Bloomington campus. Past candidates have been in the top 5% of their class, complied a GPA of 3.9 or higher, scored a 1400 or higher on SAT and a 32 or higher on ACT. IU Bloomington chooses recipients based solely on merit. Students with Exceptional academic accomplishment and promise, fine character and leadership, and involvement in extracurricular activities are looked at closely. The Hesburgh-Yusko Scholars Program (HYSP): University of Notre Dame This program is the first merit-based scholarship program at the University of Notre Dame. The program is also a leadership development program, engaging scholars throughout the academic year and summer. Most Valuable Student Scholarship: Elks National Foundation Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need. AnBryce Scholars aim to identify and cultivate future leaders who will be committed to making a difference in the complex and often fractured world in which we live in. AnBryce Scholars are among the first in their families to go to college, and they have encountered significant and socioeconomic challenges in the pursuit of their education. Candidates will receive a letter from the AnBryce Scholars Initiative with an invitation to apply to the program. The application consists of an essay and a letter of recommendation from a teacher. We ask that these be specific to the program, and not an essay or recommendation that was used in the Notre Dame fair. ARMY ROTC Scholarship: United States Army The four-year high school scholarship is for high school students planning on attending a four-year college program. Recipients of this scholarship will be committed to an eight-year service with the Army, serve full-time in the Army for four years with the Individual Ready Reserve (IRR), and serve part-time in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard while pursuing a civilian career. NCAA Scholarships and Grants The NCAA awards scholarships and grants for further education to athletes who demonstrate outstanding academic and athletic achievement. Member institutions are also awarded grants to improve academics and enhance campus culture. The NCAA awards more than $10 million in scholarships and grants annually to student-athletes and member institutions, in addition to the $2.7 billion allocated by schools to fund athletics scholarships. Additionally, the NCAA is providing $15 million in grant money over the next three years to fund a joint initiative with the U.S. Department of Defense that will include the most comprehensive study of concussion and head impact exposure ever conducted.

New York Blood Center High School Scholarship Program: New York Blood Center New York Blood Center allows students to earn up to a $1,000 scholarship for successful community service. New York Blood Center will help students organize the blood drive at a location of their choice, or students may utilize one of their 19 Donor Centers, or request a bloodmobile. New York Blood Center provides pre-drive support including posters/signage, educational materials, etc. On the day of the blood drive, New York Blood Center provides staff, donor beds, and refreshments. New York State Achievement and Investment in Merit Scholarship: New York State The NYS Achievement and Investment in Merit Scholarship (NY-AIMS) provides merit-based scholarships to NYS high school graduates who achieved academic excellence as a high school student, and enroll or plan to enroll in a public or private NYS college immediately after high school. Suffolk County District Administrative Judge’s Women in Court Committee Essay Contest This scholarship recognizes a woman who through her contributions and leadership in public service or government has made our communities more responsive to our diverse society.
