LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102 This course follows the progression of the American Red Cross swim levels 1-6. Repeat swimmers pick up where they left off, while new swimmers are tested on the ,irst day for proper placement. The age requirement for this class is at least 5 years old by June 14 2014. Saturdays—Beginning March 29th for 10 sessions - ends June 14th 3 available times: 12:00 PM - 12:50 PM /1:00 PM - 1:50 PM / 2:00 PM - 2:50 PM Fee: $100.00

ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103 This course is for adults who cannot swim or want to improve their swimming skills. Topics include proper breathing, ,loating, strokes and water safety. Fridays—Beginning March 28th for 10 sessions - Ends June 13th Time: 8:00 PM — 9:00 PM Fee: $100 .00

FAMILY SWIM #100 This is an opportunity for families to swim together with no instruction or planned activity. The following rules apply: (1) Children may not attend without their own parent; (2) No family or friend substitutions are permitted; (3) A child who is less than 4’6� must be attended by a parent at all times, and (4) Flotation devices are not permitted. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. Saturdays—Beginning March 29th for 10 sessions - ends June 14th Time: 3:00 PM — 4:00 PM Fee: $100 .00

ADULT LAP SWIMMING #101 This program is for people who would like an opportunity to enhance or maintain their cardio-respiratory and muscular ,itness. Showers, dressing areas and lockers are provided. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. Mon., Wed., & Fri.. Open when calendar is not shaded. Time: 8:00 PM — 9:45 PM Fee: $100.00 for a 15 Session Punch Card **Please come to pool during lap swim times to pick up your card**

SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104 This course will cover the basics of competitive springboard diving: approach, hurdle, take-off, ,light and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniques and form. In addition, all ,ive groups of dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. Saturdays—Beginning March 29th for 10 sessions - ends June 14th 3 available times: 10:00 AM - 11 :00AM / 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM / 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Fee: $100.00

AQUAROBICS #105 Aquarobics is a form of rhythmic exercise that supports the body while using water as resistance. Swimming ability is not required. Saturdays—Beginning March 29th for 10 sessions - ends June 14th Times: 10:00 AM - 10:45 AM Fee: $60.00

WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR #111

Swimming is an all-around physical conditioning activity. This is for people who would like an opportunity to enhance or maintain their cardio-respiratory and muscular ,itness. Lines separating fast, medium and slow lanes will be in the pool. Showers, dressing areas and lockers are provided. Lifeguards are on duty during this program. Mon., Wed., & Fri. - Beginning March 17th throughout the year; March - July Time: 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM Fee: $50 .00

The American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor course trains instructor candidates to teach courses and presentations in the Red Cross Swimming and Water Safety program by developing their understanding of how to use the course materials, how to conduct training sessions and how to evaluate participants’ progress. Successful candidates are eligible to teach Parent and Child Aquatics, Preschool Aquatics, Learn-to-Swim, three adult-focused courses as well as the Basic Water Rescue and Personal Water Safety courses and more. Participants must be at least 16 years of age by course end and be proFicient swimmers. $35.00 ARC Certi,ication fee and any text book costs will be paid directly to the American Red Cross once class begins.

RECERTIFICATION FOR CPR/AED FOR THE PROFESSIONAL RESCUER #109

BABIES AND PARENT SWIM CLASS #112 This is a parent-orientation and water-adjustment program. It is designed to familiarize both the parent and the baby with the water and make the baby comfortable in the water. There are many safety techniques that are taught to the baby and the parent. This course is for children ages 6 months to 2 years.

This course is suitable for those who have CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (Lifeguard) certi,ication that requires renewal. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certi,ication. Bring breathing masks, current certi,ications and $19 cash for the ARC certi,ication cards to the class.

PRESCHOOLERS LEARN TO SWIM #113 RECERTIFICATION FOR LIFEGUARDING WITH CPR/AED #110

This could be a child’s ,irst swimming experience without a parent. Water orientation is taught with emphasis on kicking, arm pull/breath control, back ,loat and water safety skills. The course is for children ages 2 to 5 years. Maximum enrollment is 20. Please register early.

This course is suitable for those who have a current LGT/1st Aid/CPR/AED certi,ication that requires renewal. A prerequisite swim test and validation of the participants current ARC certi,ications will be conducted on the ,irst night of class. During the course, participants will receive a full review of all material. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certi,ication. Bring your breathing masks, whistle, current certi,ications, bathing suit and $27cash for the ARC certi,ication cards to the ,irst class. Attendance at all listed dates is required.

SWIMMING FOR TRIATHELETES AND LAP SWIMMERS #114

Dates: June 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th Time: 6:30 PM-10:00 PM Fee: $150.00

Location: HHH HS West- Room 103

This course is for pro,icient lap swimmers who would like to increase endurance in a team setting. An emphasis will be made on learning advanced freestyle techniques for lap swimming and open water competition. Saturdays - Beginning March 29th for 10 sessions - ends June 14th Time: 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM Fee: $100.00

WATERFRONT LIFEGUARD MODULE # 115 This course is suitable for those who have a current LGT/1st Aid/CPR/AED certi,ication and would like ARC certi,ication to work at a non-surf waterfront/beach/ facility. During the course, participants will learn skills speci,ic to non-surf beach facilities. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certi,ication.
