AMERICAN RED CROSS LEARN TO SWIM FOR CHILDREN #102 This course follows the progression of the American Red Cross swim levels 1-6. If you know your child’s swim level for Learn To Swim, please indicate it on the registration form. If not, a placement test will be given on the 1st day. The age requirements for this class is at least 5 years old by June 22nd. For the safety of the children, you must bring your child to the class time that you have registered for.
REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE TO RESERVE YOUR SPOT!
FAMILY SWIM #100 No instruction or activity is planned. The pool will be open with lap lanes for exercise, and a free swim area. Lifeguards are on duty during this program.
Saturdays - Beginning March 3rd Choose from 3 available times: 11:00 AM - 11:50 AM /12:00 PM - 12:50 PM / 1:00 PM - 1:50 PM Fee: $150.00 for 15 Classes THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST DAY OF THIS CLASS.
Saturdays - Beginning March 3rd Time: 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM Fee: $150.00 for 15 Sessions
ADULT LAP SWIMMING #101 Showers, dressing areas and lockers are provided. Lifeguards are on duty during this program.
Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays - Beginning March 5th Time: 8:00 PM - 9:45 PM Fee: $90.00 for the spring Classes end: Friday, June 22nd
PRESCHOOLERS LEARN TO TO SWIM #113 This could be a child’s +irst swimming experience without a parent. Water orientation is taught with emphasis on kicking, arm pull/breath control, back +loat and water safety skills. The course is for children ages 2 to 5 years. Maximum enrollment is 10 per class time. Please register early to reserve your spot! SPRINGBOARD DIVING #104 ADULT LEARN TO SWIM #103 This course is for adults who cannot swim or want to improve their swimming skills. Topics include proper breathing, +loating, strokes and water safety.
Fridays - Beginning March 9th Time: 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM Fee: $125.00 for 12 Classes ending June 8th
This course will cover the basics of competitive springboard diving: approach, hurdle, take-off, +light and entry. Emphasis will be on proper techniques and form. In addition, all +ive groups of dives will be taught: forward, back, reverse, inward and twisting. The springboard course will also emphasize competition-level dives and techniques used in competition.

AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD #107
RECERTIFICATION FOR CPR/AED #109
This full course consists of American Red Cross Lifeguard, First Aid, and CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer. The course provides participants with the skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to emergencies in and around pools.
This course is suitable for those who need certi+ication renewal for CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (Lifeguard). Participants must complete written and skill testing to receive certi+ication. American Red Cross certi+ication is valid for 2 years. Bring breathing masks, certi+ications and $36.00 cash for ARC Admin fee. (Only one date required to receive certiAication)
Age requirement: 15 years old by the end of the course
Wednesday, May 23rd OR Monday, June 11th Time: 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM Fee: $50.00 check plus $36.00 cash for ARC CertiAication card Location: HHH HS West - Room 103
Maximum number of participants: 10 – Course enrollment is based upon water strength and performance on the prerequisite swim test ONLY. Prerequisite testing for acceptance into the course will include: 1. Swim 300 yards continuously using the front crawl and/or breaststroke. 2. Tread water for 2 minutes using only the legs. 3. Swim 20 yards, surface dive 12 feet to retrieve a 10-pound object, swim 20 yards on your back with both hands holding the object and keeping your face at or near the surface, and exit the water. This must be performed in 100 seconds or less. Thursdays - Beginning March 8th plus 12 Class Sessions, ending mid-June Time: 6:30 PM - 10:00 PM Fee: $375.00 for HHH residents and $425.00 for non-HHH residents. Fee includes course textbook and breathing masks. ARC admin fee is an additional $36.00 upon completion of the class.
IMPORTANT NOTE: All 12 classes must be attended in order to obtain your American Red Cross certiAication – NO EXCEPTIONS!
RECERTIFICATION FOR LIFEGUARDING WITH CPR/AED #110
SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM #106 Join for the Spring 2018: Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays - Beginning March 5th Time: 2:15 PM - 3:00 PM Fee: $50.00 for those registering only for March through June
ADAPTIVE SWIM CLASS#108 This class is suitable for individuals with physical or mental disabilities that prevent them from learning in a group setting. Classes are one-to-one and instructors will teach skills based upon the abilities of each individual students.
REGISTRATION MUST BE DONE IN ADVANCE Saturdays - Beginning March 3rd through June 22nd Choose from 2 available times: 10:00 AM - 10:50 AM OR 2:00 PM - 2:50 PM Fee: $150.00 for 15 Classes THERE WILL BE NO REGISTRATION ON THE FIRST DAY OF THIS CLASS. It is recommended to arrive at least 5 minutes prior to start of the class for student to be assigned to an instructor.
ARC: WATER SAFETY INSTRUCTOR INSTRUCTOR #111
This course is suitable for those who have a current LFGT/1st Aid/CPR/ AED certi+ication that requires renewal. A prerequisite swim test and validation of the participant’s current ARC certi+ication will be conducted on the +irst night of class. During the course, participants will receive a full review of all material. Participants must complete written testing and practical skill scenarios to receive certi+ication. Bring your breathing masks, current certi+ications, bathing suit and $36.00 cash for the ARC certi+ication cards to the +irst class.
Must be at least 16 years old on or before the last day of the course (5/24) . This course will teach you skills that may save a life, and you’ll gain terri+ic work experience as an aquatic specialist. You will learn educational and presentational skills that will help you in any career and make a difference in the lives of others. With a WSI Certi+ication, you can teach: Parent & Child Aquatics; Preschooler Aquatics; 6 Levels of American Red Cross Learn to Swim; Adult Learn to Swim; Water Safety Courses; Basic Water Rescue; Safety Training for Swim Coaches; Longfellow’s WHALE Tales.
Attendance at one 3-day session is mandatory to receive certiAication.
