DESCRIPTION Babson’s Summer Study provides a living/learning laboratory for students to focus on applying and advancing their knowledge in business and entrepreneurship. 4 weeks. Students select two courses, a morning class and an afternoon class to be attended Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. On Wednesdays, students participate in our Beyond the Gates Series. Students choose one class for the duration of the 1-week program to be attended 9:30 am - 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Taught by School of Media Studies faculty, students gain a critical understanding of how re-imagining the city through multimedia storytelling engages, provokes, delights, and informs audiences. Their artistic and socially engaged short film projects are screened publicly at the end of the course.

DESCRIPTION In addition to the summer programs highlighted above, The New School for Public Engagement, Parsons The New School for Design, and the extension program of Mannes College The New School for Music offer openenrollment continuing education courses each summer in a wide range of subject areas, including Social Sciences, Humanities, Media Studies and Film, Writing, Foreign Languages, English Language Studies, Management and Business, Food Studies, Art and Design, and Music. 4 week residential program. The schools provide intensive training in an environment where students experience the rigorous discipline of the daily life of a professional artist. With NYU Precollege, students entering their junior or senior year of high school can apply to take college-level courses for credit and experience life as an NYU student. Credit-bearing courses are available in more than 30 subjects to fit every interest and academic need. Precollege hosts social events and activities to create a sense of community and help students get to know one another while exploring the city around them. The College Prep Program is designed for motivated students who are seeking academic enrichment. By concentrating on one course, a student is able to fully embrace a subject and be rewarded by a sense of real accomplishment at the end of the summer. We seek to make the selected subject an integral part of each student’s life for five weeks, and our hope is that we create a desire to explore further. For students who would like to spend the summer improving their English language skill, we offer instruction in English as a second language. Levels range from beginning to advanced. Classes are designed to provide practice in listening, speaking, reading and writing Join our community service teaching team and travel to northern India where you can make a tremendous difference in your life and in the lives of the boys and girls at the Joybells Orphanage. DESCRIPTION Experience college life at Northwestern University this summer in the College Prep Program. High school sophomores and juniors can take undergraduate courses for college credit, or enroll in a two-week IN FOCUS seminar in a special topic area. It happens when you first set foot on campus, engage in intellectually stimulating classes, and throw yourself into nearly two centuries worth of academic, social, and spiritual tradition. It happens when you enroll in one of our three pre-college programs. As a Summer Scholar or a participant in the Notre Dame Leadership Seminars, you'll have access to the Grotto, the Golden Dome, and the hallowed halls. Or if you go abroad with us to Rome in our Study Abroad program, you'll have access to the riches of the Eternal City. You’ll spend a summer living, learning, and serving as a Notre Dame student. DESCRIPTION Summer @ Rensselaer is an important component of Rensselaer's ongoing effort to provide learners of all ages the opportunity to explore and experience an engaging, interactive learning environment in several dramatically expanding research areas: Biotechnology and life sciences, energy and the environment, computational science and engineering, nanotechnology and advanced materials, and media, arts, science and technology. A residential component of this program is available for high school students for one to three weeks over the summer. Programs offer non-credit mini-courses reflective of areas of study available at the University. Students can choose up to two courses per session. Classes meet for 3 hours a day, 5 days a week.
