We inspect and report on the building fabric and structural integrity of construction projects. We review the contractor's standard of workmanship and comment on the work in terms of quality and compliance with the agreed Scope of Works, contract, and industry standards of good practice.
We report on and monitor the installation of mechanical and electrical systems on construction projects to ensure they meet the design, compliance, and regulatory standards. We will review commissioning programmes, health and safety, and risk items ready for inspections.
We monitor and assess various aspects of the project. Including closely observing the construction process, conducting witness testing, and checking for compliance with the works information which serves as the blueprint for the project.
Independent Quality Inspections are typically requested on an ad-hoc basis, generally when projects are nearing completion or when a particular issue has been identified by the Client. We provide both Clerk of Works inspections to ensure that projects meet the specified standards.
We visit construction sites to focus on the standard of workmanship provided by the contractor and their subcontractors.
We comment on the work being undertaken for quality and compliance with the agreed scope of works, contract and industry accepted standards of good practice and workmanship as per relevant Codes of Practice and Legislative requirements.
Our Resource Team will identify a perfect match Clerk of Works for your project, aligned exactly to your project requirements.
Upon appointment our Head Office Team and Clerk of Works will familiarise themselves with your aims and objectives, budget, programme, design standards and guidance, technical standards, contractual procedures, and working methods as relevant to your project.
We will strive to ensure high quality workmanship and achieve defect-free services using our proven Quality Control processes, encompassed within the Company’s Quality Management System - certified to ISO 9001. Our QMS has been developed around our goal to ensure a high quality service, which is embedded within our culture, processes and procedures.
We recognise that effective communication is paramount to project success and have a proven track record of effectively liaising with clients, statutory bodies, site contractors and project managers to achieve successful and commercially pragmatic outcomes.
By ensuring compliance, reducing waste and keeping the project running smoothly, we can add significant value to your projects.
We can save you time and money by ensuring you are protected from defects and deficiencies that otherwise might impact on your programme and future maintenance budgets.
While our Clerk of Works will act as your eyes and ears on site; our head office team will ensure you receive the highest quality service. This input and support from head office allow the Clerk of Works to maximise their site time providing you with the most efficient and economical service.
We can focus on the standard of workmanship provided by the contractor and their subcontractors and comment on the work being undertaken for quality and compliance with the agreed Scope of Works, Contract and Industry accepted standards.
Our Clerks will submit comprehensive reports covering the general progress and quality of the works.
We can check that all elements of the construction process are integrated and coordinated in a correctly sequenced manner to ensure that the overall building is ‘fit for purpose’. We will raise any concerns that may affect handover and the successful completion of your project.
When the project has completed and been occupied, we can be involved in soft landing discussions that extend beyond the project lifecycle e.g. operation and recommendations for planned maintenance.
