High performance concrete has a huge unexplored potential in terms of bringing the people of the world into the next century with safe, aesthetical and functional houses. Environment, energy and sustainability are areas, we take very seriously - in terms of our concrete’s constituent materials, but in particular the products and the contexts which they are a part of. We will contribute in solving global challenges with high performance innovative thinking, for instance within wind and wave power, biogas, sewage treatment, solar systems and energy-saving solutions in general.
The infrastructure is under constant development and adaptation to new traffic patterns and capacity. Convenient traffic, efficient site operations, energy and lifetime calculations will be of high priority in the future. The special features of “High perfor-mance” concrete make it very attractive compared to the mentioned needs, for example, slender precast concrete bridges with short installation time, paving and facings in subway systems, beautiful and durable solutions for roads and railways, road barriers and noise protection, draining systems and expansion of quay and port facilities. Political and cultural turmoil and insecurity as a result of the future extreme weather events are, unfortunately, also a part of the future world society. With our special products, we can help reduce the impact of these factors. Here we are referring to coastal protection, security boxes and cash point machines, terror protection of public areas and ballistic protection in various military installations.
Staying outside as a quality leisure will be highly appreciated both now and in the future. Therefore, the use of outdoor space, around our houses, in Town Squares and in the open countryside is an important focus area. Here, the possibilities are, among others, beautiful benches and tables both inside and outside, bollards, complete paving systems in urban areas, play ground applications as well as features such as bicycle storage and waste management.
