Happy New Year!
I love the feeling of a fresh start, although I’m not much for setting resolutions. Mostly, I’m hoping to mark off a few projects on my to-do list by being more intentional with my time.
I’ve mentioned intentionality before in this column, and I’ll readily admit my efforts have come with mixed results.
But, isn’t that what the new year is for? It’s a fresh start. Time to let go of the past and embrace what lies ahead. My goal: A cup of tea in the evening during some quiet time.
Help your kids think of one or two things they would like to improve or start or complete this year. Goalsetting is a valuable skill. Once they set the goals, help them establish realistic time lines and identify achievable steps to complete the goals. Then celebrate their successes!
This month, we have new advertisers starting the year with Kids Directory and our very popular birthday party guide. This is an issue you’ll likely hang on to for awhile.
So, let’s get the new year off to a good start by being good to yourself. You’ve got this! |
