What the Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project is about 窶サhe Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project focuses on cleaning beaches in the Shonan area and gathering data on marine debris. It is a tangible community activity that brings foreigners and locals together to do something good and to get to know each other better.
Fall Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project 2010 October 3rd Beach Cleaning results are in! 350 volunteers filled 92 bags, amounting to approximately 138kg of marine debris! Here are a few examples of what we found:
窶サwice a year, in the spring and the fall, the Fujisawa Beach Cleaning Project gathers volunteers for a beach cleaning day of service. The Spring Campaign is a special way to commemorate Earth Day. The Fall Campaign is part of the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup Initiative.
