There are many avenues to connect as a member of the HIES community, including with the Parents’ Association, and other affinity groups, including the Holy Innocents’ Cultural Awareness and Acceptance Partners and the HIES Prayer Group, among others. The Parents’ Association monthly email newsletter is a reliable source of important dates & events and also provides contacts for Grade Level Representatives.

Parents are invited within the first month of school for an evening event to learn more about schedules, curriculum and to hear from teachers during Parent Night. Principal’s Coffee events occur throughout the year with special areas of focus. Parent-Teacher conferences are scheduled at least twiceyearly and teachers are always available for questions via email or by appointment.

Parents are invited to organize and assist with class holiday parties and other special events throughout the year, and can visit for lunch or as a guest reader with advance arrangements.

Holy Innocents’ provides individual student evaluations multiple times a year in order to discern the most effective ways for students to thrive. We seek to partner with parents to ensure that all four main domains for learning are maximized: Cognitive, Social-Emotional, Motor Skills and Language. We offer support for Speech-Language Pathology and Occupational Therapy on a contract basis.
